THAT WASN'T THE QUESTION...
QUESTION IS: HOW DANGEROUS IS IT AND DOES IT ALWAYS GET WORSE....

That mens that you are allergic to the medications. Besides the skin manifestaions, allergic reactions can manifest as swelling of the larynx (airway), causing respiratory arrest, which may lead to death.
Stop taking the medications & consult your doctor!

It could. I'm surprised your doctor hasn't taken you off the meds. Any decent doctor would try to find an alternate medicine to treat your condition if the original medicine caused hives and itchiness.
