No, and yes I do think that smoking is unlawful in my religion because by smoking I'm harming my body, and that's unlawful in Islam

I used to be a smoker.... I quit last February 2006.

My reason for quitting was because after I got saved.... I read in the Bible that the my body is the temple of the Lord and that I should not defile my temple. Also, the Bible also states that we are to honor God with our bodies.
As a Bible believer and due to my faith in God.... I had no other choice but to quit. Also, thankfully, I did not experience withdrawal. Whenever I felt like smoking.. I just opened up my Bible.

I'm not a smoker. However, there are plenty of people within my religion who choose to smoke, and it doesn't make them any less Catholic. I've heard smoking discouraged from the pulpit before, but as far as I know, there's no outright ban on it.

I am a smoker and an atheist. Smoking is vile, and a complete waste of money, but not against any religious canons I am aware of

A very wise Pastor once said:

Smoking won't send a Christian to hell. But it will get the Christian to heaven a whole lot faster.

Another Pastor said:

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit does not like air pollution.

Smoker for 20 years, and in my religion, it's a moot point, as each person has their own vices, mine is smoking.....

I don't think it's lawful for Christians, just because of the damage it does to the body. A persons body is a gift from God, and we are supposed to be good stewards of all gifts from God. If we damage our gift, we are saying we don't appreciate it, which is an offense to God. And it's just such a disgusting and horribly expensive habit anyway!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NCV
You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit who is in you. You have received the Holy Spirit from God. So you do not belong to yourselves, because you were bought by God for a price. So honor God with your bodies.

Wicca-based Pagan... I don't smoke, but I know a lot of Pagans who do. I don't know how Wiccans reconcile the known health dangers of smoking with "harm none", but that's their personal responsibility to resolve.
