The U.S. investigated her trip to Vietnam and found no reason to bring any charges against her.

In spite of the truth, I’ve never heard, and read more right wing lies, and pure war rumors, doctored stories, and cowardly right wing gossip spread about anyone else in history. Furthermore, virtually all POW stories are complete (relentless) fabrications, and where any merit can be found, for “aid and comfort to the enemy” pales in comparison to the fact that a lone civilian woman, did more than anyone else to end the hopeless American waste in Vietnam. To top that, Jane Fonda shortened the duration of the war, and the torture of POWs.

Shameless fabrications

Bits and pieces of shameless fabrications, were cobbled together by persons unknown to create the "Hanoi Jane" diatribe which still circulates on the Internet today.

For persistent pro war activists, who like to claim that anything good ever came of Vietnam, keep in mind that today Vietnam is in fact 100% Communist.

I can see why no one ever accused right wing war mongers of being very bright.

Biggie – You obviously responded to rumors rather than any actual POW.

Do have a crush on Jane Fonda or what?

>Where do you get off calling the ordeal the American POWs in Vietnam went through a "complete fabrication"? Do you have any proof to substaniate your accusation?

There were no charges to be leveled on Jane Fonda because there was no declaration of war. However, if there had been, Fonda could have been tried for treason. Charles Lindbergh was villified for his connection to Nazi Germany; he was said to admire the Luftwaffe and thought it was invincible, but he never manned a Flak gun.

PS. The 1960s are over, get over it.

I'm not saying that things aren't exaggerated once in a while, but complete fabrications? Is it a fabrication that John McCain can't raise his arms above his shoulder because of torture? It is a fabrication that the North Vietnamese forced POWs to read confessions of war crimes, and that while doing so some POWs gave secret signals (morse code with the eyelids, for instance)?

Every Vietnam POW I've heard speak has nothing but the utmost contempt for Jane Fonda. The PR coup she provided North Vietnam while young men and women were fighting and dying is shameful.

Oh and no one can accuse you of having any brains either. The only thing that "shortened" the war was something called Linebacker 2. And its clear that you have absolutely no idea of what was being done to our people there. Jane Fonda should have been tried, convicted and excuted for treason.

Wow''' another Jane Fonda fan. You must be joking. Finding a Vietnam veteran that likes Jane Fonda . is like finding a needle in a haystack. She sucked then and she sucks now. Wouldn't give her the sweat off my for head if she was dying of thirst.

Thank you for proving hate does not only exist in the Religion and Spirituality Section. I see that you ask the same question over and over again with slightly different wording. Anyone who does not agree with you is an idiot. Why bother to ask a question if you have already decided on an answer.

Retired USAF B52 Pilot and damned proud of it.

There are pictures of her rubbing elbows with the Viet Cong. She has said things against the military, and has apologized from her own lips.

And Vietnam is communist today thanks to the antiwar Liberal hippies who talked us out of there before the job was done. Nice going quitters.

I mean really... there she is... right there, a photograph or two, of her with those who would kill our soldiers and Marines. What are you missing? Were you even there? Are you old enough to remember what happened back then, or do you just want to be one of those who forms your opinion based on the opinions of those who agree with you?

After leaving Viet Nam, we left a whole population of people unprotected and genocide occurred. Thanks Jane for the memories.
