The Chosen, by Chaim Potok? I love this book. If you read it, what did you think?

What's the most moving/interesting work of FICTION you've read that deals with Judaism, religion, etc?

Haman, yes I can imagine you'd enjoy the Protocols. That, you can believe is true yet I am willing to bet you either deny the Holocaust OR insist the horrors and numbers are 'exaggerated'. I've got your number.

Haman, I wouldn't know about that debate, I don't recall reading that post, whatever it was. By the way, you are aware that you now are sounding really quite delusional?

Haman; you are wrong. The fact that you choose to deny it does not alter the fact that six million Jews, and millions and millions of non Jews, perished at the hands of the Nazis. It is fact, not a matter of opinion. I am happy to debate everything, as you will have gathered. But this? You are just insulting the memory of those who died. Our conversation ends here.

I've read the book and seen the movie. Both are great! Have you read The Promise, the sequel to the Chosen? It's good too.
That's the only book I can think of at the moment that I've read that deals specifically ith Judaism.

The Chosen is an excellent book.

My favourite in connection with Judaism etc is The Slave by I.B. Singer

PS I am glad that Haman considers that the Protocols represent fiction. He would be advised however to consider what happened to his namesake.
