Yes, it is actually soothing. It will temporarily relieve some of the itching. Go to either your local pharmacy or grocery store and look for oatmeal bath. I recommend Aveeno oatmealin tepid water. It really works!

Yes. When I had chicken pox as a child, my parents got this oatmeal based bath stuff and put it in a tepid bath. It's supposed to soothe your itchy skin.

It is best to bathe daily when you have chicken pox in order to keep the sores clean. You can use Calamine lotion as needed to relive the itch.

When I was a kid I bathed in a tepid (not warm, not cool) bath with oatmeal powder (put it in the blender to make flour) and baking soda - helped the itch.

Yes it is, best in oatmeal, that's what my mom did when I had it when I was six.
