combined the two ideas of both religions and added in some of his own thoughts to create the Qu'ran?

This is what it says in this book my parents have at home that compares Christianity to other religions {they are christian}
Because of this book, that is what they think about Islam, and that Jinnah is a place of sensual pleasure, which is all wrong. But what actual prove can I give them that will help me argue this? ( I'd like to note that I DO NOT believe this, but I want to see if there is ACTUAL proof out there that helps debunk this lie)

sorry for my mis-typed words...I meant JANNAH. And as for reading that book, I did it because I was curious about what it had to say. I do not believe it, but I wanted to get actual verses or parts of history that could disprove this claim. Thanks!

If the quran copied the bible, then why is it that according to the bible the son that abraham was ordered to sacrifice was isaac, but according to the quran it is ismael?
And if you look at the text according to the bible, abraham was ordered to sacrifice his "only" son isaac, when abraham infact already had 2. The quran's recount is possible because at the time of the order, isaac was not born.
Your parents are reading from a book obviously written by people who know nothing about islam. Islam corrects the errors that are in the bible that occured. I recommend you listen to lectures and read books by Ahmad deedat.

I think everyone should be taught tolerance from an early age. I blame churches, themselves...I think places of worship should teach tolerance. I agree with you...they are ALL beautiful religions, and even though I fully admit I am a Christian, I have NOTHING but upmost respect for Jews, Muslims, etc. I have friends of many religions and quite honestly, when push comes to shove, I believe we ALL believe in the same God...we just have different interpretations, etc. I have always said, I was born into a Christian family, therefore; I'm a christian. But, If I had been born into a Jewish family, I'd be a Jew...and same with muslim. Of course you can change religions along the way, but let's face it, most don't. OK...went off subject a bit. It would be a perfect world if everyone were tolerant of each other, especially where religion is concerned. But, unfortunately, I don't see that ever happening. At least I'm at peace with how I feel towards others. :) good question..thanks for asking!

First of all the Prophet Mohammed(SAW) was illiterate until Allah(SWT) sent his angel Jibril to him with the message. I suggest you read other books then ones published to cater to Christians or Jewish religions. Ahmed Deedat is a great authority on the subject and he had an in-depth knowledge of religions. Jinnah means in Arabic a Jinn who is a female. The word you are meaning is Jannah which means heaven. The Christians and the Jews they try to make lies to stop the spread of Islam because they have changed their religion. This is why the Quran was revealed not with a new message but with a reminder for those who have forgotten. Like I said read Ahmed Deedats lectures and it will help you so much.

Please sister check out this site about Ahmed Deedat, he has many lectures in english where you will be able to find out about the history and comparisons of religions..

All historical records available show that Muhummad (pbuh) had made only three trips outside Makkah before his Prophethood:

At the age of 9 he accompanied his mother to Madinah.

Between the age of 9 and 12, he accompanied his uncle Abu-Talib on a business trip to Syria.

At the age of 25 he led Khadija’s Caravan to Syria.

It is highly imaginary to assume that the Qur’an resulted from the occasional chats and meetings with the Christians or Jews from any of the above three trips.

Salam

The angel Gabreil peace to him came to educate every single prophet. He was beside Adam the whole 40 years in finding Eve on earth. He was beside all prophets and was the messenger to the Right Hand of God All Mighty for All the prophets. He has no need to use himself for he is the Lord rested on the throne atop All mighty and powerful creator that has no other to be worshipped and praised but him. Al hamdoullah.
The angels are the never bending light of the Lord and he uses them as he wishs and they do nothing else other than what he commands of them to do. Al Jinn are the devil and the creation 2nd to Almeen (the creations of the Lord) 3rd Mankind. We have different frequencies and Muhammed SAW was also given the holy spirit washed and inserted wisdom by the very same Angel of information and truth as you all know as Gibreal the never bending light of the Lord. Also there is Micheal the giver and he is the left hand of the Lord all mighty peace to the angles Al hamdoullah Rub Alameen amen.

Muhammed pbuh was informed by this angel for 23 years of his prophethood and he was asked only by Allah SWT the Lord to do such task for all prophets. The Lord doesn't create things for no reason, every word was done for a mercy and blessing to all the creations of the Alameen, that was from Allah and yes Jesus as also part of the plan as the rest where and are.

You will not find "actual " proof because it is true . they can quote the Quran forever but the Quran teaches another gospel, the anti-christ spirit wants you to believe that Christ was not crucified, did not die and was not resurrected, this is the foundational truth of our faith. 600 yrs. after Christ, supposedly someone who claims to be a prophet, rejects the truth of the risen Christ and starts their own religion?
Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life and NO MAN comes to the Father except through Him. There is no other way and you are free to reject what your parents have tried to teach you, because in Christ there is only Love and Mercy and Grace, there is no compulsion and noone will disown or kill you if you leave Christ, which is not true of some other religion.
You are in my prayers that the Spirit of Truth will protect and guide you to the truth.
Shalom

Islam has been around way before judiasm and christianity. Adam and Eve were muslim. Islam is not a piece of judiasm and christianity. Judiasm and chjristianity are bits and pieces of Islam. The quran is the words of Allah, pure and untainted and untouched and protected by Allah himself.
