(My other question was deleted by an angry rat.)

You say Adam can't be saved simply because of this verse:
Hebrews 10:26
"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left..."

First of all, it says "after we have received the knowledge of the truth". Question: What is "the knowledge of the truth"? Is this something Adam could've grasped at that time?

Second of all, Adam didn't "deliberately keep on sinning after he had received the knowledge of the truth" because he didn't have the "Knowledge of Good and Evil" yet since he just took a bite from the fruit. He didn't have the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Third of all, the verse says "if we DELIBERATELY KEEP ON SINNING...". Does this sound like the only sin it shows us Adam of committing? Does this story of sin say he deliberately kept on sinning, or did he just sin?

(to be continued in additional details)

Fourth of all, 1 Timothy 2:14 says "And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner (or transgressor). Here it is EVE who is called the sinner and transgressor, not Adam. Although Adam did sin, why would Adam not be saved instead of Eve? This verse says EVE is the transgressor.

Fifth (AND NOT LEAST) of all, notice the word "we" in the passage. Do you honestly think this one verse only applies to Adam? If this was so, it would clearly say something about Adam, but this verse is speaking of ANYONE. Notice the word "we" in this passage. This scripture is not just for Adam but ANYONE. If it was just for Adam, it would say something like "Since Adam deliberately kept on sinning after he had received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins are left for him."

It is true, there's no record of Adam repenting or asking for forgiveness. But neither does Eve. Also, what if Adam DID ask for forgiveness? Do you think God would've forgave him? We don't know if Adam repented, but that does not mean he was uncapable of being saved. Maybe he did somewhere between his other 800 years of living. We will never know.

UNCLE THESIS -- However WRONG could you be?

God Himself knew the Knowledge was for Adam. Gen. 3:22 "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."

ADAM now knows good and evil, God said. If Adam had eaten of the tree of Life he would live forever and that's why he was cast out of the garden. Are you trying to say the Tree of Life was for God as well?

Adam isn't a murderer. He didn't kill anybody. Where does the Bible say Adam was a murderer? Is this from the Bible or from your own understanding? You might as well say he murdered himself as well.

Can you simply not see the Hebrews verse doesn't account for Adam? 1. "after received the knowledge" (Adam didn't have "the knowledge" yet. 2. Did Adam "deliberately keep on sinning"?

This verse done not pertain to Adam. If it did, Adam is not the only one. It says "we". How many people will God NOT save? If Adam asked for forgiveness would he have received it? Would God be unforgiving?

Satan was an ANGEL. Adam and Eve were HUMAN. Jesus didn't die for angels.

What is your interpretation of these scriptures?

1 John 2:2 "He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world."

1 Corinthians 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive."

1 Timothy 4:10 "For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe."

Hebrews 8:11 "And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest."

And there are others. ALL people can be saved; but WILL they is a different question. Adam CAN be saved, but did he get saved? No one knows. He lived more than 800 years and little is said about him. He could've repented. We don't know; but that does not mean he CAN'T be saved!

JW's are confused about a lot of their doctrines. Adam was not in the transgression, Eve was. Adam was a type of Christ and loved her so much he was willing to take the 'fall' with her rather than leave her...just like the real Christ did for us.

It's all in the Book...not man's idea about the Book.

It must be because Adam was perfect. I would consider yes he was perfect, but yet naive. Good point about "maybe" he can have a second chance. Did God say in the Bible that Adam will have eternal death? Lynn C made a good point too; that Jesus came to earth for all man to have forgiveness of sin. We know that part of history happened way after Adam and Eve. Will check back again. Very interesting.

I am a Baptist, but more importantly I have The Lord, and what Jesus Christ tells us that whosoever believes in Me, that means we know that Jesus went to the cross for our sins, that we know Jesus was the lamb, who went in our place, and took our sins on so that we would have forgiveness so that we wouldn't be seperated from the Father anymore, we are seperated through sin, because God is sinless, perfect and Holy, We have to know this is what happened, then we must Repent, turn from our sins, and truely, sincerely ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus Christ into our lives, ask for The Holy Spirit to fill us, The Holy Spirit is the comforter that Jesus said we would have, The Holy Spirit dwells within us and convicts of us our sins, so we know right from wrong, that is how you are saved, If you have THe Holy Spirit you will not keep on sinning, you will be convicted, once you are saved that old person dies, and goes to the cross, You are new in Christ, you will produce good fruit, people will see teh change in you, It is imposssible to be saved and keep sinning as you were, if you do you was not saved and did not really accept the Lord into your heart, and wasn't intent on changing your ways to do The Lords will.

Both Adam and Eve committed deliberate willful sin. They were created perfect and sinless just as the angels were (even Satan the guardian cherub of Eden was perfect to start with)....Ezekiel 28:13-15

Adam was worse that Eve though because he "was not deceived" by the lies Satan told. Therefore, he did it knowing he would die. 1 Timothy 2:14, (Genesis 3:4, 5)

This is the same sin Satan and all the demons committed.....deliberate willful sin on the part of a perfect being.

Hebrews 10:26-29 and 6:4-6 and others refer to deliberate willful sin on the part of descendants of Adam and Eve who were not perfect (Romans 5:12)....even imperfect beings can chose wrong and be unpardonable....this sin is called sin against the holy spirit and can never be forgiven.
Judas Iscariot committed this sin and thus knowing what he had done, killed himself.

Matthew 12:31, 32, 36, 37, Hebrews 10:29. It encompasses all our deeds and even every word out of our mouths (if we deliberately spread lies...John 8:44, Rev. 21:8)

There is nothing magical about the tree or it's fruit.

It was the act of disobedience that opened Adam and Eve’s eyes. They choose to follow Satan rather then God. By doing so they murdered the human race.

Rev 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

I'm wondering at this point whether you're debating JWs or you are debating the Watchtower. I didn't know they believed this about Adam and Eve. Good question. Loved the "company" analogy, if they take this as a proper way to view Adam's status before God, it gives lots of insight into their overall salvation theology.

Not a JW, but my 2 cents....
Eve partook of the fruit first. By so doing she would be cast out of the garden. The first commandment God gave them, before any other was "to Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish (fill) the earth", in other words, to have children. Adam knew that Eve would be cast out of the garden and he would be left alone in the garden with no chance of fulfilling the first commandment given. And even before the ate of the fruit, they didn't even realize they were naked, so I doubt they would ever even of had kids before they knew this. Also, if you understand, they were married Gen 1:20 "And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." so he obviously would not want to be separated from her. He could see that in order to fulfull the first commandment he had to go with her. Did Adam partake willingly, yes and he knew it must be so. Of course they can and will be saved.

Almost everyone assumes the "knowledge of good and evil" applies to Adam.
Don't think that.
If Adam refrained from eating, God would have the knowledge that Adam chose good.
If he ate, God would have the knowledge Adam chose evil.
Its not that God couldn't know otherwise, but due to that tree, things became manifest, evident.
No one could accuse God of prejudice, the action was now out there.
So, the knowledge is related to God, not Adam.
All Adam had to do was trust.
Trust his maker.
Adam was perfect. He had a natural inclination to trust his maker.
He fought it. He squelched it ....purposefully.
The Bible does not say if he 'kept on' sinning.
But that is like trying to eat just one potato chip.
If you were God, loving righteousness, what would you do?

The JW's Are programmed to judgment...They will tell you first hand that they are the only saved Christians, and in the next breath, they will tell you individually, that they are not certain of their salvation.

They need a good Bible, and they need to spent those dedicated hours, reading it.

The Claim they make about Adam would include all humans before God made his sacrificial pact with the Israelites.

Flawed theology put out by a money making Publishing company...Can anyone say ...Blind?!

Adam DELIBERATELY sinned. He knew God's command concerning the tree. He passed that on to Eve. She was deceived, Adam was not.
