I'd be thrilled. Heck, I'd be glad if my brother ran off to become a priest! I'm tired of him being a clown.

Although "priest" is a general term that can apply to any religious leader, I presume you mean a Catholic priest. Personally, I would freak out! Then, after getting over the surprise that I have a son (after confirming with a paternity test of course), I would listen to my son to make sure his path is aligned with his heart. If so, then I would be supportive and proud. If not, then I would recommend waiting before making such a committment.

WOW you're 20 and looking ahead at being a daddy of a 25 year old. That's too cool.

Imagine if you did become daddy of a son who became a Priest and your son saved thousand upon thousands of people from hell ... oooo .... looking way farther into the future ... then u're in heaven with u'r son who also saved you ... freaky-good-freaky!!!

I'm very glad that I will never have to worry about it. I have always told my son the truth about everything. He knows that gods are just imaginary things that Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, others, and even some stupid ones nowadays believe in because they don't know any better. Thankfully, he is smart enough to resist all that crap and will teach his children the truth about the nature of existence, evolution, natural selection, and how to have some REAL moral beliefs and live a great life in this reality (not theirs). I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has done this, and one day, truth and sanity will reign. Mark my words, ignorance and fear will not survive intelligence and truth...

a Priest is a good calling in life. not everyone can handle being a Priest. it takes commitment and a life of abstinence. a Priest especially has to be the model of purity for his church. you must always be faithful ministers of the Sacraments, and go when people need you. if your son is considering the Priesthood tell him to pray hard about it, and you pray for him too. God bless.

If i had a son and he was about to become a priest, than i guess i would be the most happiest dad in the World. I mean, my son would chose to live his life in the company of Jesus. Wouldn`t it be wonderful, knowing that your own son gave his life to Jesus and the Church ?:)

It wouldn't bother me too much, as long as he had reasoned it through.

We all have different things that drive us in life, and the fact that some people require religion for meaning in life is just the way things are.

I would have mixed feelings...

I would be sad that he was missing out on so much and that he was choosing the wrong path in my eyes... I would be sad that they brainwashed him....

I would be scared of what it ment for his mental state

I would be slightly happy he found something that made him happy and that he could truly believe and devot to..

I have a son and I would strongly advise him not to be involved with that church . Just as I would advise him not to be involved with a cult or homosexuals or porn or thieves or oh that is all in that church ya I can honestly say I would be very frightened too. Pray for all young men to find out the truth and stay far far far away from the cult of pedophiles
