Ugh, apparently some sad little teenage boy went through and thumbs-down'd all the comments that told you to wait for someone more valuable than a one-night stand.
So I thumbs-up'd all of those comments. =)
Anyways, if you think someone you're with only wants a one-night stand from you, don't do it. I can tell you're not the type of girl who's looking for a one night stand, and to give up what you have so easily and so frivolously would just be sad. I'm glad you realize this =)
Again, the answer is hormones. Also, girls mature faster than guys. Once the guys catch up, you'll find someone who wants to be with you for life.
If I were you, I'd wait till college too. I mean, you're Homecoming Queen (congrats btw =) ), and if you get into a relationship in High School now, even if it does last through till the end of High School, chances are you won't be going to the same college, and either someone will have to change plans so you can go together, or a long-term relationship starts, or a breakup happens. Or, worse, you guys decide not to go to college at all (that would be really sad.)
If I were you, I'd hold to my guns until college. Then, stay on the lookout for someone who is much more mature than the guys in High school, someone who is romantic and who will want to sweep you off your feet into a life-long commitment. =)

First of all, congratulations on becoming homeocmin queen.I was also one in school. Now becoming the queen,of course you will get more attention with the guys, you will become more popular. As for guys who want one night stands....this is life unfortunately...when a guy gets into that teenage years and over...their hormones go into overload, also they do not think of the consenquences that may or may not happen.Us gals have feelings deeper than men and they will never understand this. Be careful and as far as I am concerned there are only a few men that are decent out in the world and worthwhile.Good Luck

Good for you. Stick to your morals. Most boys at that age are only looking to have sex with as many girls as possible. They think that's what makes them a man. When they get older hopefully they'll realize that isn't true. Be patient. You'll find someone that wants to be with you all the time.

First of all, congrats on being the homecoming queen!

Now to address your question: You're at an age where you shouldn't worry to much about being in a relationship. You should just focus on enjoying your youth. Go date guys... you don't have to put out to have fun. Besides, you'll find out more about a guy's character if he respects your femininity.

Teenage boys are guided by the thing dangling between their legs. It tells them what to do, and how to act...

In other words, most of them haven't got a clue as to what a relationship is, much less how to have one...

That's why long term abstinence, and flirting/making out has always been a girls best friend....

make a chum whom u can can have faith that he wont take u out for that one nite stand. attempt to alter urself, ur nature, then in ordinary terms u can replace this habbit and have faith me u may be happy. there are dozens of intense-high quality adult males around attempt and hit upon a mushy one.

well thats gret because that makes you a person of HIGHER STANDARDS! and the wourld needs that from men and women alike. instead of the only thing that they are capable of doing id just making this world even more crowded! and those peers that are well just ignore them and sooner or later you will find that one that is right for you just look at me and my girlfriend we are both still virgins and we're both 19 and 18... i'm 19! so i mean we're glad that we waited! and we're still planning to wait until we're both ready for kids! so there is nothing wrong to wait for the right one to come along!

BECAUSE THEY'RE TESTOSTERONE DRIVEN AT THIS AGE AND THEY'RE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCE NOT COMMITMENT, ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE THE OVER CONFIDENT TYPE. DON'T RUSH YOURSELF, UR YOUNG WHAT'S WITH THE HASTE OF WANTING A RELATIONSHIP SO YOUNG. ENJOY YOUR LIFE AND GET TO KNOW YOU BEFORE YOU TAKE ON KNOWING SOMEONE ELSE, TRUST ME I KNOW. AND HONEY EVEN IF UR NOT THE ONE NIGHT STAND TYPE GUYS WILL HOPE U ARE AND MAY TRY TO MAKE U ONE IF UR EASY, SO BE CAREFUL.

because the winds breeze arouses them
the hormones are flying
the wrong head thinks

its best you conentrate on school, graduate, then get your career going before worrying what men think.
plus, they'll harass you plenty throughout your life lol
