Oil is 'the bloodstain of the earth's economy' and will soon trigger a global conflict that will cost millions of lives. That is the stark claim of a controversial new film, which says a crash in oil production is about to set off worldwide recession and economic collapse.

Unfortunately that seems quite likely, yes. Oil is going to run really short in the next fifty years, the question is just how well we will adjust to that. Shell had a very funny comment a couple of years ago: the world oil reserves are not going to run out in the next fifty years, because much of the reserves that are left are almost impossible to get out of the ground. Gee, that's lucky! We still have oil only we can't use it!
Yes, we have to invest as many resources as possible into sustainable alternatives NOW. I believe that some of the global warming talk is just to keep attention away from the really scary reason why we should cut our fossil fuel use: because they're running out.

one question though: how is this R&S exactly?

no whether it did act as a "warmth buffer" it does not warmth up the floor temperature nor make contributions to 'worldwide warming'. it won't warmth up the floor by way of fact the warmth is interior the middle for an extremely good reason, the rigidity and so on and so on save the warmth interior the middle. and likewise no human has ever dug oil or something withing one thousand km's of the middle. worldwide Warming is a term to describe the upward push interior the warmth captured from extraterrestial supplies alongside with a sunlight.

Oil is going to get more expensive. How catastrophic this is going to be depends on how quickly we can find alternatives.

Currently government policy in the US is to stick it's head in the sand and do little to nothing. Ethanol is a waste of time You burn almost a gallon of fuel making a gallon of fuel. Bio diesel is much more promising. Electric is what we should be investing in.

I would predict a economic crash rather than a global conflict.

There is a video game called "Fallout". It is a post apocalyptic game. It has a pretty good intro though. Ron Perlman did the narration for it. Basically, the narration discusses the next world war was fought for petroleum and uranium.
