Hey, this is for a religion project. Can anyone tell me Why and when the council of Nicaea ended? thanx.

Because they voted to say that Jesus must have been god's son. Vote was over, they went home.

The Council of Nicene was a series of seven different councils, originally ordered by Emporer Constantine beginning in 325 AD to try to reconcile the Easter and Western halves of the church (and some minor groups). The last of those council was in 787 AD.
1) First Nicaea in 325
2) Constantinople in 381
3) Ephesus in 431
4) Chalcedon in 451
5) Constantinople in 553
6) Constantinople in 681
7) Nicaea in 787

Ordered, on pain of death, to come to a consensus definition of God they wrote the Nicene creed.
