Depends on what definition you are using for God.
If it's one of those (classic) for which there cannot be either observation nor evidence, then probably not.
Things people believe are otherwise things for which the actuality cannot be ascertained. So, belief seems like a weak basis to me, and I avoid believing until I can actually learn about what the thing really is like. Then I will know. Knowledge,strikes me as infinitely more valuable, and interesting, than belief.
