Do they make 00 buckshot out of LEAD?

But to answer your question, many shotgun shells have gone to steel shot for environmental purposes. I'm not sure if 00 buckshot is still lead or not. The main environmental concern was getting lead in the water supply, and most people won't be duck hunting with 00 buckshot.

Nope, Nada, Not anymore....Illegal in all states because it is an environmental hazard. Hurts the animals that eat it and the water or land that it rest upon. Buckshot is now made out of steel. If you do find any old shells made out of lead, do not use them or carry them because if you get caught....you could be fined and everything that you used for the hunt (gun, gear, etc...) or to get you to the hunt (vehicle, 4 wheeler etc...) could be seized by the law.

OO buchshot is now made of steel. You can get it at most Gun/Ammo shops or maybe you have a Bass Pro Shop close by.
