Im a muslim and sawn(fasting) basically develops the quality is patience and perseverance by stopping us from eating, and waiting until the right time. Waiting-patience theres one answer and perseverance, i think because we must pull through depriving our bodies from energy, food and basically thats perseverance, because we need to persevere over hunger.

Muslims can become more patient because they must get past the initial hunger and persevere without food and water throughout the rest of the day.

Im muslim and fasting in ramadan is important because we need to be patient and feel the same way poor people feel when there suffering with no money to buy food and water so its a great oppurtunity for us people to feel that we need to thank allah for everything he gave us and we need to help poor people.Hope that helps!!!

by staying away from the things we were ordered to stay away from and doing what we were ordered to do. That's for a whole month. Teaches presistance and patience.

at the college i go to, the muslim student organization made a fundraiser called the "fast-a-thon" where they get non-muslims to fast...just for one day. From what i saw, most of them barely made it through. For us, people who do it occasionally, we have built patience and discipline through the years...i find it odd that some people think fasting is "hard" since its not that bad to me.
