before any illegal immigrant can get the green card or resident he has to learn and talk fluent English, but this will only affect people under 50 yr old, because once you are older than 50 your mind isn't able to learn English or any other language.
the thing is that they haven't made this bill yet
do you have any good bills? put it on

having them to know English will make it kind of easy or th English economy, because the thing, some people don't want to learn English and they want us to adapt to their language and when we don't have somebody who don't speak their language in a store they get frustrated and mad.

It would not be fair because those that will immigrate from english speaking countries have more of an advantage than those that dont speak english.

I think your idea is wrong. I see where you want to go with this but where we all need to be going is any illegals in this country need to be deported. Then if they wish to become citizens or get a green card they need to go thru the proper channels just like all the legal immigrants have had to do in the past! With the exception that they cannot apply for 5 years after deportation. Age shouldn't enter into it. ALL should be required to learn/speak english, after all it is the language spoken here!

No--it's a bad bill. Immigrants--legal and otherwise--have been coming here for 200 years without knowing English. They learn after they arrive and make good cicizens--much better citizens than the bigots who want to make an issue out of whether they know English when they arrive.
And what gives you the idea that people over 50 can't learn another language? It sounds to me like you need to get with it, pal. The only people I've ever heard say something that derogatory are bigots. If that's where you got that particular bit of prejudice, best you start educating yourself.

No I don't believe we should force them to learn English.
I do however fully support the English only bill that REQUIRES ALL government business to be done in English, including education, drivers license exams, welfare services, court actions, and criminal proceedings. No translators should be automatically provided. You speak English or you don't know what's going on around you

Where in the world did you get the idea that people over 50 can't learn another language or anything else for that matter? that simple statement alone is enough to be uninterested in anything else you had to say!

I like the idea, but that's a little over board for me. My ancestors came over thousands of years ago not knowing English. However, they quickly adopted the language and the customs. A willingness to learn is the first step.

Sounds like age discrimination, to me.
Asside from that, though, there's no reason to allow any path to legitimacy for illegals other than to return to thier country and enter legally.

NO illegal should be allowed in our country no matter WHAT languaage they can or can't speak.
ANYONE who is admitted legally should speak English no matter what their age.
This will never be a bill, it is too stupid.
