You know what is crazy also, there are American protestant Christians that go to Russia to "save" the Orthodox Christians there. They are already Christian and yet not the kind of Christian that some protestants like so they must go and convert them.

There is only One God and He blesses every country where the people believe in Him. God is no respector of persons. God loves the Asians, Arabs, Greeks, French, British, Indians, Africans, Turks, Jews, etc. God is concerned about all of our interests and not just American interests.

Proselytizing is not for the purpose of pushing America down anyone's throat. We teach about Jesus because we want no one missing out on heaven and eternal life with Christ.

Either you have been given some false information or you are trying to create some. Honestly. How many times have you heard any American add the words "and no one else" after saying "God bless America"? This is nothing but plain and simple hate mongering.

There are a lot of missionaries. They don't have to be priests. Missionaries are simply people going out in the world to share their belief in what they believe to be true about Jesus being the savior and the only way to God. (I believe this too.)

They aren't trying to conquer the way you think. They are trying to help other by sharing the gospel and hoping to lead them to the only one who can save them.

If anyone is trying to make people into drones that do what they say and want for selfish reasons, they are not real Christians. Real Christians would not selfishly try to gain followers for their own advancement.

Those who think God is an American are indeed foolish. Christianity is not a specially American religion; Christ was not an American. There are quite a few people who seem to forget this.

The worst thing you can do for any religion is to get it approved by the government.

God bless America doesn't mean not blessing other places. it's just a homage to our culture, land and forefathers. much like other countries have the same type of declarations.

I don't think most missionaries are trying to convert people because they want power over them. It's because they beleive that those who do not know Jesus will go to hell. The bible says that we must spread our knowledge. that it is our job to be "fishers of men." I think many missionaries are selfless. caring people, even though i'm not sure i believe in what they do.

i don't think it has anything to do with americanizing people or with the government- just to save people

I can only answer for myself but I base this on the verse in Mark 16:15:
15He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Christians go to other countries to proclaim Jesus as the one and only path to Heaven because the Bible has commanded us to, not to build "idiots" to serve American interests. In all reality, if America has blessings it's in SPITE of the way we live not because the average American lives in a way consistent with Jesus' path. I'd say that includes (sadly) the average American Christian and myself (an American Christian) too often as well.

Because they have a false sense of entitlement and generally us Americans have a superiority complex.
