Why continue to study the problem if we know there's no doubt that man is the cause? What do we expect to prove by spending more money? That man is really, really the cause?

Wouldn't it be better if the sharp minds who are doing the research into global warming were in the private sector looking for solutions?

Could these scientist be working on the next generation hybrid car, or new fuel cell technology, or renewable energy instead of finding more ways to blame man for a problem?

Global warming is a government jobs program. These scientist don't want to work in the private sector, they are very comfortable in their government jobs, with their government pensions.

Why would anyone want to give that up?

It's easier to complain and demand others to sacrifice than to do the work yourself.

Global Warming is a natural trend that we can do nothing about. Just like the Ice Age was a natural trend making the earth grow colder so is Global warming simply making the earth warmer. Just like the seasons make the weather warmer or colder over the year so does these weather patterns over hundreds of years. It gets colder and then warmer then colder again. The earth must adapt to these changes and some animals will not survive and new animals will evolve but we are not in any way causing these changes.

If global warming is true, continuing research will show us how to solve it. If global warming turns out to be false, it will be the continuing research that shows this and how we can stop wasting money and direct our attention elsewhere. It's a win / win. Scientific research gives us the best return of any of our enterprises. In fact, you could say it's the only one we have that really pays off in the long term. There are things in the world best accomplished by the private sector. Then there are other things that need to be done that can't or won't be taken on by the private sector. Should we leave those things undone?

Check out how lazy this guy is and how little he accomplishes with his government grant money.

Well this is the gap with the "rest of the world"...

The sharp minds are already actively acting in other places where the debate is almost over (with a 95% certainty for man made global warming).
These sharp minds are also active in the US even if they are a bit more constrained there.

The US government pretends to use the "technology approach". Meanwhile, several regions of the world spend more in the technological research, but also create multi-billion programms to reduce greenhouse gases emissions.

And there is little doubt that the remaining 50% of the US will move out of its passive attitude in less than one year.

i individually am impartial in this concern, yet once you will possibly elect to be attentive to why some human beings have not got self assurance in international warming i will make it easier to be attentive to. human beings do no longer think of that the globe is warming via fact we are nevertheless popping out of an ice age. human beings do no longer think of we've monitored the temperatures long adequate to tutor significant information to tutor the international warming theory. they think of that it somewhat is a organic degree that the earth is going by using, and it form of is sensible, I propose we've in ordinary terms monitored the earths increasing temperatures for slightly over one hundred years, and the earth has been around lots longer than that. So the people who don't think in international warming think of that it somewhat is a organic degree which will ensue returned and returned.

Because pioneering new industries is hard. Especially ones that can compete with gasoline.

Maybe these scientist don't have the guts to enter the private sector.

My take on it is they don't want solutions, they're pushing their own agendas. Even if they did find a solution, they'ld have to find a new problem anyway.

That's the ticket. Let's stop spending money, let's stop any progress(wealth is needed to create new tech and new products you claim to want). We can all just give up our freedoms, our modern life, work to prevent the developing world from developing, and move into grass huts. That ought to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by some 3 to 4 %. After we achieve a stone age life style than we can get about with the harder task of stopping the planets natural green house gas emmisions. Sounds good to me.

thats not where the money is. they dont really wanna save the world, its all about the bling bling. the only reason we need to use so much energy is so that we can make more money and buy more things, and then the person we buy it off can make more money and buy more things and make new things and buy more things and sell more things that we dont need. and make more things we dont need as a solution to the problems cause by things we dont need. just turn off your computer and go and read a book. you will waste less energy and save the world

We have to keep funding research because, while we know that global warming is happening and that humans are contributing to it, we know next to nothing about it and what, if anything, we can do to deal with it.

Don't forget, there are still thousands of people out there who won't listen to the fact that global warming is man made simply because they don't want to believe it.
