Gods are used to explain the unknown.

Indians, for example, had the sun god as one of their gods. They believed that one needed to sacrifice an animal to make the sun rise the next day. However, now we KNOW that the sun doesn't even rise, we are merely rotating around it on a giant spherical rock.

Imagine if one were to go back in time and speak to an Indian and tell him "There are no gods" he may reply by asking you "Then how do you explain the rising of the sun, and the Growing of our Corn?" Just the way Christians now ask, "How do you explain the origins of the universe?" or "How do you explain where humans came from"? These are all unknown questions, because scientists and explorers have not yet found the truth.

Just like the corn god and the sun god fell to education, so will the Christian God, and any other god that tries to stand against truth and logic.

When I refer to the "Unknown questions" I am targeting the Christian questions, since we now know why the sun rises, and why corn grows.--Just in case anybody is confused on that.

You cannot prove or disprove God with science. Why? Because you cannot physically see God.
The problem for people who don't believe in God is how to explain how we got here. We had to get here somehow. You apparently don't believe in God or in evolution. It seems that you believe that the truth hasn't been found yet.
Consider this, science has proven that life comes from life and each thing produces the same thing- ie a dog has puppies, a cat has kittens, etc. We also know that the deeper they go, the more we realize how complex life and our bodies are. This points to somebody somewhere making the world and putting it in motion.
Also, consider this, what if there really is a God and the Bible is true?

Christians do not ask, "then how do you explain the origins of the universe or where did humans come from". We already know. The word Christian is interpreted differently by many different people so I will say it this way....I am a Follower of Christ and I do not ask these questions. I have nothing to prove to non-believers, I have only to be an example of what a life lived for Christ has to offer with the hopes that I can help further the kingdom and spread the love.

human science is nowhere near where the bible is yet. I cannot wait until science catches up with the bible. Every Scientist that has set out to prove that god does not exist has ended up being a Christian in the end.

You assume that science will someday prove there is no God. If that happens then the question would be decided and religions would dissolve. However, I think it is far more likely that science may someday prove that there is, indeed, a Creator. Then the religious would be vindicated for their faith.

So, what is your point? Even your corn analogy supports the concept of a creator. Who created the first seed?

See, the nice thing about not believing in any gods is that you don't HAVE to prove their non-existence. The burden of proof lies upon the believer making the extraordinary claim.

Gods are used to explain the unknown...no... science explains the unknown...God explains the after-life. There is no science experiment or theory to explain the human spirit (soul)...good vs. evil...heaven and hell...Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross...science will never replace "faith"

No, because it is logically impossible to prove a negative. The best you can say is that you find no compelling evidence for His existence, which rules out nothing.

And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors.

Love comes from the soul. For if love came from a hormone, then it would come from with-in like adrenaline.

People think that people imagine the feeling of love. That it’s a trick of the brain.

Yet, love comes from where the people touch you, not from with-in like a hormone. If love were up to the perception of the user, then how come no matter what mood you are in,.. you still feel love. If you hate the person loving you, you may feel grossed out to love,.. but still feel the love. If love were up to the imagination of the user, then you could trick people into thinking inanimate objects are people hugging them.

Now from what is seen here, we see that the soul has an energy that is independent of matter,.. but has side effects in matter. Hence the brain is specifically designed to react to the spiritual energies we emit.

Now what do you say about the people who have felt God’s love? Being in God’s presence charges the soul and body. It’s called the renewing of the Holy Spirit. And this residual effect goes away when people travel down old thought patterns that contradict the perfection that is God.

using your logic....

we haven't yet discovered with absolute certainty the origins of the universe or mankind....only educated hypothesis (the same kind I'm sure the Indians made)......

how do you know that "truth and logic" will ultimately reveal there is no God?
