People were fast forwarding through those stupid cave man commercials so they made a show based on them but that didn't work either so maybe next we'll see a network of them and then maybe entire countries and soon you'll have planet of the apes all over again.

Please watch the commercials, I'm begging you!

Having worked in broadcasting for a number of years, advertising is a crapshoot. If the advertiser can't come up with something compelling, he has no realistic expectation that the viewer will watch or listen to his ad whether the viewer has the ability to fast forward or not.

Nope, it isn't theft. First of all, copyright infringement isn't theft. Secondly, broadcasters waive their right to prevent home use and modification when they broadcast the signal.

See Sony v. Universal City Studios.

no, not theft, just exploitation. You are using the tv show without properly viewing the commercials which fund the show.

Goodness, morality has nothing to do with it. It's called freedom of choice and behaving in an intelligent way.

best of luck to you!

Yes it is. It should be mandatory. Considering the outright lies that sales/marketers are putting out there. I feel it's my duty.
