Do people not realize that by saying the God Answers prayers with Yes, No, or Wait, is illogical? That means no matter what happens, God Did it. That is a little too convient isnt it?
The same thing would happen if you prayed to the wall.
It is all just coincidence

Oh if everything was as clear cut at that. But no it is not. There are ways and means. And that is what prayer is. It's a way to a means. And how that means is answered is the way the heart felt at the time.....a prayer must be felt. If it is not felt and just spoken then alot more practise is essential. And just because your dprayer does not happen or get answered the way you might expect it to doesn't mean anything. And for all you know, god may not have had anything to do with it.

Sometimes when the answer is Yes, the coincidence is a little too much to be just coincidence.

I was told by doctors that I would not be able to have children due to endometriosis. I prayed that God would allow me to have a child and I also asked for her to be a girl, because I had no idea how I was going to raise a boy. When I got pregnant, I prayed that she would be smart, like water, and Look like her dad and have my personality. I got everything I prayed for. when she was little, if we were going to go anywhere near water, we had to strap her into a life vest because she would dash for the water without fear and hurl herself in. (she even threw herself off our pontoon boat at age 1 and a half, went underwater and came up laughing) I couldn't keep her out of the pets water dishes or the tiolet bowl. She was speaking in full sentences at about 1 year old and she was walking by 8 months. she is currently an all A with a few B's student. (all this while she has been sick for over a year.. if not for the illness, I think she would be all A's) She was also born looking the spitting image of her father and she has my personality.

There are just too many coincidences for it to be coincidence. Some higher power had to be in control. I was given EVERYTHING I asked for. There was nothing that I asked for about my baby that I did not get.

Except the wall did not ask me to pray to it and the wall did not do anything and the wall does not seek a relationship with me.

Other than that and a lot of other things, God is just like a wall. Good point.

By the way - Did you ask your dad for things as a child? He did it anyway, so it must be a coincidence.

I don't think you could understand the concepts associated with prayer if your approach is such. However if you were to be serious and wanting to know, I would suggest Jewish philosophy on prayer. There are a few books out there. Once you understood how to do it and the overviews of doing it, you would than gain the experience to know the need or reasoning to do it.

Attempt communicating with God yourself. Get to know him. Then reevaluate your thoughts on prayer. To an outsider--one willfully outside of God's grace--it doesn't make much sense. Dim logical constructions--arguments against God, prayer, and the like--seem perfectly accurate. To an insider--one who asked for and received entry into God's grace--a whole other world opens, where logic becomes multifaceted...scintillating, even.

Of course God did it!

That's what prayer is all about-calling on Him for that which we have no control over!

I choose to believe that God is in complete control of my life. Yes, no, or wait are his answers. I turn my life over to him. He knows what is absolutely right or wrong for me. Blind faith? maybe/probably. I think the creator of the universe and the creator of me knows what is best.

You would not think that way if you had a prayer answered. I don't think then you could say the wall answered it.

Why would I pray?~~~~~~~~~~Clearly you don't understand that prayers is much more than just request. It goes much further than asking for something. It is the core of our relationship of fellowship with Christ
