It definitely makes you think don't it, I mean according to the numbers this country is on the decline morally, Violence is everywhere, drugs are everywhere, no one goes to church anymore, with all the droughts and storms I mean down along the gulf coast in places it still looks like a third world country, Something is up, thats for sure, the Bible speaks of all this happening, if it keeps getting worse the US is going to have to make some changes..

It is not a punishment it is the results of how greed and selfish gain has affected our planet. Pollution and destruction of our natural resources has come to a place where we are going to have to live in this age of man-made destruction. We literally did this to ourselves and we the people of the earth can correct it if everyone takes a part in the necessary changes of how we treat and use our resources. We need a world wide effort to save our planet. But in the mean time there will be climate changes that can destroy all that we have come to understand as our way of life. The sad part is that although I am doing my part all around me many people are not willing to do theirs. Their still living day to day waiting for someone else to fix it, without any changes from the bad habits that have caused the problems in the first place. Live green, give the planet a chance to heal!

Punished for what and by whom?
It is what it is. Natural disasters happen, I live in tornado alley and believe me, you don't read about all the disasters that happen in this area each year.
Global warming plays a role in some of it so I guess Mother Earth might be punishing us.

Disasters happen and this isn't the dark ages to give it some superstitious edge. If anything, it's global warming we should be concerned about. We all are responsible for it and also a part of it.

No i think it is just the weather I think we are being punished by kids bring guns to school, little girls being taken and found dead weeks later, having to walk our sons and husbands to a bus that will take then to war. drought? no that is weather.
