I, rightfully, was pulled over for expired tags and out of state plates, as i have been unable to afford them. Im not denying i was in the wrong, however, if I had a nickel for every sonora plate that expired in '05 or fake temp tag ive seen, id be a very rich woman.

So, if I had out of country expired tags, it would be okay, but out of state tags, thats a problem?

If laws dont apply to everyone how can they apply to anyone? Do i have a valid arguement?

the law isnt fair! You were in the wrong, and now your legal issue just has to be dealt with. i have the same opinion as you, but in the end, your argument would never hold up.

I was arrested when i was 15 for being under the influence of meth. I was a minor. A male cop searched me [which is illegal] then i was hauled into my citys police station and some cop drew my blood for evidence [which is also illegal without parental consent] They never talked to my mom and they released me to my drunk cousin who was not my legal guardian. They drove me to her house. I tried to argue that the cops BROKE THE LAW, but they laughed at me.

does that seem right to you?

My answer will probably offend some but it is truth. When you said Sonora you answered it, our government will put the law officers in jail for arresting the illegal aliens.

American Justice Sysytem is a joke! You were in the wrong place at the wrong time instead of some illegal. Dont' even bother arguing that in court. Sad but true.

Yes you do but that's the way the government works. It's just like cops speeding down roads 20 mph over the limit yet they pull people over for going 5 more. It sucks but there's not much you can do about it.

It is a sad commentary on our nation when a legal citizen can't afford to replace their tags due to cost! But an even sadder one when our officials turn a blind eye toward the illegal population that is sucking our nation dry! Keep your chin up, love. I'm sure your situation will improve! Yes, you do have a valid issue!

Makes you wanna go anarchist, dont it?

Steve reminded me of something I saw a few days ago. A cop jaywalking..not in a hurry or anything..waited on the light, then decided not to wait anymore..I was on the opposite side of the street as was..but decided to wait til it turned green

Speaking generally, laws should be enforced universally...but - if you take one look at American society you will realize that indeed they do not have to punish all equally...refer to certain young starletts and DUI convictions..
If you were rich, you'd be fine and tags wouldn't even be a blip on the radar, but for those of us in middle class an below, well, too bad

No valid argument. Law enforcement is like a lottery and your numbers come up!

That is a really lame argument. It's like pointing to a little brother and saying "he got away with it!". It does not wash.
