i think you should put it into saving i know the future is so far a way for same kids but it is really not think about it you psp will not be there when you get older and yes you could buy a car when you get older which will take you to school or to your job where you can buy that psp or what is ever is out at that time then they will not be be able to tell you what to do with your money . PUT IT IN TO SAVINGS

I say you shouldn't ask for anything specific for Christmas, be happy with what you receive. After all, a gift is supposed to be appreciated. Since you asked for the components for your pc first, you should accept that gift from your parents instead of changing up your request.
Get a job(you never specified your age)if you don't have one, or save up some money you receive to purchase your psp.
Since you have changed up your gift request, if it means making your parents happy, accept the 200 pounds and put it in savings as they've requested. They know what they are talking about, you needing a car in a couple of years. What will a psp do for you in the long run, aside from giving you carpal tunnel?
I don't think they're being unfair, you're just being selfish.

You're not immature for playing games but I think you're immature for being disrespectful and unloving to your parents.

You're lucky that your parents are willing to give you 200 quid, and that they care about you. They're being a bit preachy about it but basically they're OK and you're being a bit of a tw*t.

Do what they want and get the PSP in a few months if you still want it. You'll have some interest on the money in your account by then. Or get a job and add to the account yourself, that'll impress the hell out of them.

What are you getting for them, by the way?

Stay away from the psp, since they do not have any good games and the internet feature does not play videos etc. Only text related. If your going towards the psp for the videos and music thats pretty much the only good use for it, otherwise stay away from the psp. Trust me I'm not just a Nintendo fan.
I'm a video game pro!!

they are right in life you will hopefully learn that it most always is never fair ,hard yes, painful yes , but never fair you can make due with what you have and start to learn your adult leassons now like what is more important you can't have your cake and eat it too that is a childish way of thinking and the sooner you start acting like an adult then better you will be for it good luck

I think you need to tell them that you want surprises for Christmas and take what you get and stop being immature.

I think you should thank your lucky stars they are getting you anything. Sounds to me like you are spoiled kid. When I was growing up my parents couldn't afford any presents for my sister and me. We were dirt poor.

I think anyone who writes as poorly as you do needs the money for a tutor.
