Just wondering if there was a difference in dimensions. I've looked over the net, but no real help. Please no answers that include the word "should". I would like a more definitive answer. Thanks!

I've already contacted dealerships with no hope. Said they would need the VIN number of both vehicles. My vehicle, and the one the shell was on before. Whew!

the beds are different on those they changed in 06 on the design,good luck.

2001 is a 2nd generation Ram. The 3rd Generation started in 2002 so they are likely to be different.
Go to dodgeforum.com and ask the question there. It is a great site and the members are more than willing to help you out.
