"God lives inside of us...." like hell.

The idea that we all have God implanted in our hearts and minds is pure fantasy. What we have there instead are real feelings and first hand knowledge of our own oneness - we are isolated into our bodies and trapped in a much bigger real universe. We are completely alone to face our reality and that my friends, is a very fearful bit of truth to swallow.

As a result of this condition, our desire for rescue from our own alone situation develops. We have cause to seek some safety and we seek it from outside-of-our-self in the form of "a something" that can be trusted to give us the power enough for defense against the universe. We can see what we lack in own ability to be safe and since we cannot even trust ourselves completely to other human beings, we search for what we desperately desire elsewhere.

It isn't a grand leap from there to see how we are easily satisfied by our own empty and self-made beliefs or that we adopt those beliefs recommended by some "knowledgeable" other.... To create our own god, all that is necessary is to convince ourselves is to say that we are safe and protected in own idea, "God".

This identical behavior can be seen in young children who "invent" by pretending their own desire of a trustworthy and faithful imaginary playmate. It's not at all hard to do as a child and surprisingly it isn't hard to mature the same childhood ability and use it time and again to renew beliefs as we grow into adulthood.

Believe me, most of our ideas of God are entirely self-made.
We are self deceptive.

And, there you have it. There it is - instant faith, instant God. Think about it. It's true.

God only lives inside those who have accepted his son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

This is not a religion or something taken lightly. This is a decision to have a personal relationship with the creator of the universe and a God who has a purpose and plan for your life to bring Him glory.

Religious people believe all kinds of things, that is why religion is so dangerous. God only lives in those who are His children. He will not live where He is not welcomed.

I hope he likes ham sandwiches because that is what I am getting. And hopefully I will curb my Y!A addiction for the rest of the day!

And I am going out of town this weekend for a convention, so I am off to lunch and off of Y!A for sometime. See ya!

lol! funny but to correct you God DOES NOT live in all of us. Only when we accept Him as our Lord and saviour does he come into us through the Holy Spirit.
