Romney's religion may not be exactly the same as that of America's Christian Right.

But you've got to admit that his values are very, very similar to theirs.

Will they support Romney in his quest for the GOP nomination?

And will they vote for him in the general election?

I would support Mitt, since Pat Robertson has endorsed Giuliani. I'm not an evangelical Christian, let alone any religion at all (I'm non-religious). But I am a Republican. I don't agree with everything Mitt says, especially in regard to GLBT issues (I'm a bi male), but as far as I can tell so far, I agree with him the most compared to other candidates, whether Republican, Democrat, or other.

If the choice is between Hillary and Mitt then the choice will be vote for Mitt or stay home and thereby cast half a vote for Hillary. Politics is about winning or it is about nothing.

It is vital to look at a persons character when voting for our leaders. I am LDS, but not sure about Mitt Romney as far as leadership goes, but as far as Character- I think he probably has the best character and best morals of any other candidate- and if that is what it comes down to in the end- I think I could go for him. My main problem with him is that he is too politiany- I think we need someone fresh who doesn't care about politics, rather they care about the country.

they will not vote for him in the primary (which is why I think he will never be the candidate (but then again I never thought he would be Mass gov.)).

In the general election with him as the GOP candidate then yes they would vote for him over a Democrat.

I don't think he has a chance, even if some of us "get over" his Mormonism. He has endorsed gay marriage and abortion in the past, although he is now against both. That just doesn't sit well with many Christians.

Some will, some won't. Some are practical, some want one of their own faith. In the general election more will be practical, they won't want Hillary.
