When Dodge came back to nascar ,and Ray Evernham
got Bill Elliott to help him the first couple years, I think Ray used his head in doing this, when you have a new mfg. and no notes you have to have Driver input,Bill Elliott and Dale Sr. was the very best..
now with the C.O.T. its like starting all over again,
I`d say they will be OK, in a year or 2---------I don`t
think Kayne has enough track time to tell Evernham everything he needs to know...

The whole Evernham Motor Sports team(#9 Kasey Kahne, #19 Elliot Sadler, #10 Scott Riggs) just got behind on the new rule changes and mainly the "Car Of Tomorrow".
Every year even when the cars look the same to the eye, there are little adjustments here and there that make a huge difference on track, and sometimes teams don't catch on well using their old car setups with new changes. That is why from year to year you will see great race car drivers struggle in races.
A few months ago Evernham Motorsports started adjusting better to the Car Of Tomorrow and the results began to show starting back at the Bristol Night Race, when Kasey led most of that one.
Since then they got a lot of momentum going and Kasey has been having some strong finishes. Elliott Sadler has also had some strong runs going over the past few weeks.

Yeah, none of the dodges have done anything but Kurt Busch, Newman has had some poles, and has run good , but no wins...Kasey hopefully he can take the #9 Bud car and get some wins next yr..His luck is due to change like alot of drivers..Gillette Everham, needs to get it together, I have a friend that is a die hard Kasey Kahne and Sadler fan, she is almost on anti-depressants.. Get it together Kasey and Elliot.

I'm puttin' it on Ray Evernham. Kahne and his crew have really made no mistakes "in race." He qualifies well, but his car just won't hold up (Toyota syndrome).
Maybe with Evernham's focus on the cars (not the business, and hopefully a little less monkey business with Erin), and they'll get Kasey, Elliott and Patrick something that's more "race worthy."

What is happening to Kasey is the same thing that is happening to all drivers. They got behind on testing of the COT. HMS was way ahead and now it has everyone frustrated trying to catch up. Great move on Hendrick's part but it has put a hurting on the other teams.

They messed up on the set up of the new dodge. When they went into making the front nose the aero dynamics where wrong and the car would not turn or draft properly.

He's driving for Ray Evernham, which is a mediocre team at best.
Also, he's just flat out having a bad year. He and Ryan Newman are turning out to be a couple of "one hit wonders." Hopefully they can both turn things around next year.

I read somewhere that they had a bunch of incorrect data at the beginning of the year and built a bunch of cars based off of that. Of course Ray should have caught that earlier if he wasn't SO distracted by Erin Crocker. His priorities (Ray's) undoubtedly have contributed the most to the lack of performance displayed by all the Everham/Gillette cars this year.

It's not just Kasey, look at all the Dodges. Your answer lies with the cars! Look for them to do much better next year.

Yes Dodge has been a dissapointment this Year--Only Kurt Bush had made the chase. Kasey:s cars and their ill handling has been his major downfall!!!!
