I've heard the words "subjective" and "objective" flung around a lot lately, but people don't really know what they mean. Do you?

A "subjective" truth is based on the subject involved.
Example: "The Beatles are great" is a subjective truth to me because I like them. But, you may not, and that is true too.

An "objective" truth is based on the object involved.
Example: "A 'foot' is 12 inches long" is an objective truth. Whether you believe it or not does not matter, because it is true.

This is an important oncept to grasp. Subjectivism has infected the minds of many people these days.

God is an objective truth. Whether or not you believe in God does not alter the fact that God exists.

The problem with your claim that God is an objective is that the evidence provided to support God's existence is all subjective. How can subjective evidence be used to determine objective fact?

God is a subjective Truth. Just because you believe He exists doesn't alter the fact that He doesn't.

I disagree with you 100%. I think that the problem with people these days is they consider subjective truths to be OBJECTIVE! And they are not able to tell the difference.

I think you got it backwards. If you say "God exists" that statement is a subjective truth. By your own statement it is a truth to you because you believe it. Since I don't believe it THAT is the truth to me.

God is an objective truth? Sorry, but there is no measurable, objective evidence of any supernatural force in our universe.

WRONGO. There is no way to prove or disprove the existance of GOD. If you believe in God, you make the basis assumption that he exists on faith alone. If you don't believe in God, you make the basis assumption on faith alone. There is no way to prove either of the assumptions. Therefore since the choice to believe or disbelieve is a "self" choice--both choices are properly SUBJECTIVE--ie--based on the faith of the believer or disbeliever.
