Aren't people concerned that this unfairness is going to cause people to take the law into their own hands?

Of course I am ranting as I have twice been a victim of crimes committed by illegal immigrants and have had to pay substantially for it.

Since you're so loving, perhaps you'd be willing to pay my insurance and other costs associated with this travesty?

I agree NSPRD... doesn't have to be violent, but there is growing concern in the midwest that this is exactly what will happen.

Lucy: and it still costs hard-working U.S. citizens, doesn't it? Even if they *are* deported, (which I understand is not often the case) or if they are put in jail to do the time, who pays for that?

US citizens, many of whom are just people who try to make an honest living, try to pay their taxes and insurance, etc. people who can be tracked down, jailed and fined if they break the law. How is this fair?

jester: that is the second time you have said you'd smack me off my high chair.. so you will be reported. FYI.. I am bi-racial and American Indian, not "white trash" as you try to claim.

treacherous... if that were the case then where are the statistics showing that to be true? I'd like to see numbers backing that up.

The only people concerned about the unfairness are the people expected to abide by the laws. The illegal immigrants are just fine with it, and don't care as long as they get to stay here. What really concerns me is how people are trying to turn it into a "racism" issue instead of a "criminal" issue. Regardless of what race you are, if you break into someone's house, you should be punished.

The only law they dont follow is being documented. How is that comparable to killing, stealing and cheating on your tax returns as ALL you hypocrits do....dont deny it!
Anyway, if by being "victimized" but illegal immigrants you mean fender benders then thats why you have insurance..tough **** and tough luck. That sort of thing happens to anybody at any time by anyone..deal with it cry baby.
Now, they get away because obvioulsy they dont exist in our US system so who are you going to go after...a police sketch like you see on Law and order?
Which brings us back to what illegal immigration is all about..lack of documentation....NOT your assumption that they are all scum and you (being white trash) more than likely are the freaking princess your own **** you walk on.
get off your high chair before I smack you off it.
P.S. I'm not an immigrant

Illegal immigrants don't get away with breaking laws, if they are caught they are arrested and must do the time, then they are deported. If people start taking the law into their own hands then we will be breaking the law. Not all illegals are criminals, some are just looking for a better future for their families. Wouldn't you do whatever it took to survive? Mexico politicians don't care, that is where the change has to begin. I hope this helps.

Illegal immigrants are expected to follow the laws and do get arrested when they brake them....

get over it all ready you've been spitting hate at illegal immigrants all morning, find something better to do.

My Answer to your response to me is the following: I seriously doubt you know for a fact whoever commited a crime against you is an illegal, and if your too cheap to pay for your insurance don't expect other to feel sorry for you when your not covered.... Stop acting like the victim when your so sour mouthed about illegal immigrants, maybe if you spent 1/2 that energy protecting yourself you wouldn't have such problems. I live in Miami where I'm positive 100's of thousands illegal immigrants live and in my entire life not once has a crime been commited against me or anyone I know by such "illegals" Don't hate a group for things that happen to you, you can easly come off as a racist.

I imagine it has something to do with all of the effort and expense it takes to send them back to their home country. It's probably just not worth it to most police officers. Plus the language barrier is usually an issue too. Only about 1/3 of the officers I know speak more than just one language. It's completely unfair to the people who live and work in the country legally.

When you find that answer out let me know. The illegal immigrants are given the royal treatment for being here illegally, & that's why more & more are sneaking into our country. They're thumbing their noses at us as they enter our country, knowing they can get away with things, we can't. I live here in the south & they drive new vehicles but have no driver's license. A bunch of illegal immigrants were arrested the other day in my city, for driving without a license. For some reason, they don't think they need one.

It's a matter of enforcement, both in terms of will and resources. For example, a lot of the rich white kids in my town use cocaine, but the police do nothing about it. Maybe they don't have the resources to go after all crime, or maybe they don't care anough about THIS issue to pursue it. I suspect these two forces are at work at Bush's federal level when deciding whether or not to clamp down on illegal immigration.

Well, basically it's because US citizens are so afraid of being called racists, classists, or Xenophobes that we have let them get away with it for a couple of decades. Fortunately, the race card has worn tired and carries less weight. Unfortunately, it may be too late as the children of vast numbers of "anchor babies" now comprise a huge voting block that both parties feel the need to pander to.

Law in your own hands means taking responsibility for actions that are not acceptable. The law in your own hands does not have to mean violence you need to understand that revolutionaries founded this country with the aid of the American Indian and many are still around to assist in the ridiculous intrepretation of the constitution accessed by persons who feel they can take what is ours.

actually, now that US electorate desire a passport to return from Mexico, they are interior the comparable boat in an attempt to talk. they actually have a determination of entering into by using customs, or coming in illegally. i think that if US electorate come from Mexico illegally, they are going to be concern to sanctions interior the comparable way, inspite of the certainty that of course deportation is rather not an option as punishment for crossing the border illegally. Sorry to burst your rhetorical bubble with logic and rational concept supported by potential of info.:)
