What is a fair amount to charge to train a 12 week old puppy? (house break, crate train, leash train, tricks) The puppy has lived with us and we supplied all of the food. Training sessions were about 2 hours per day.

I feel that it's best to train your own dog... it's the same way I feel about nannies. Why should your dog listen to you unless you're the one laying down the law? Training a puppy takes more than 2 hours a day anyway. I feel like it's a waste of money for something you could EASILY do yourself. There are many questings on here with good answers about how to crate train, houusebreak and teach tricks to your dog... investigate those avenues first... Also, your puppy is too young to really learn anything anyway. Private lessons will confuse him.

12 weeks is still to young to be doing anything except "cookie training". A puppy of that age simply does not have the cognitive development to properly understand a correction. Anything a dog is taught at that age expect to have to teach again. All that you are really doing is teaching the dog "how to learn".
So anything like "private training sessions" was a rip off regardless of price. The dog needs to be in puppy kindergarten associating with other puppies and people.

I charge $30.00 an hour for private lessons, but won't with a pup less than 7 months old.

If you took the pup into your home to train it for someone and the pup is now housebroken, crate trained and leash trained and can do some tricks you should charge for the food, the time it took to train the pup and babysitting fees.
I would think a fair price is $75. to $90. a week.
Depending on if you will be doing this for like a job and this was your first. Then the longer you do it the more you can charge.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aL6Xc

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

It really depends on the trainer, I think.
The national average is about $20 per hour.
Was this an individual session or a class? Because they may differ.

i attempted to coach my rottweiler a pair of years in the past at petsmart, and it grew to become into approximately $one hundred. regrettably, the different proprietors in my type complained and my canines grew to become into asked to have inner maximum instructions (for a greater physically powerful fee). There are diverse ranges of instructions, the $one hundred grew to become into for beginner point.
