It sounds like you have a problem with migraines. Welcome to my world. Once you get a migraine it is a matter of waiting it out, and yes it can take a long time. I have learned to understand what triggers my mi grains, I limit my caffeine and try to get good sleep. There are some prescription drugs that you can talk to your doctor about that also help to prevent migraines, there is one that is meant for high blood pressure but can also be used to prevent migraines, and another which I have tried but did not like that is meant for seizures, it is called topamax. I also have a small aneurysm on the left side of my brain, but after a bunch of tests the docs decided that it is pretty much harmless and the pain i had been having was in fact my migraines acting up, it was so bad I had serious double vision to the point it mimicked a stroke, so yes I can understand what you go threw. Also when you are trying to get rid of the migraine stay out of the sun as much as possible, quiet dark rooms are best.

Could be tension headaches or migraines. ( I get both yuck!) Either way I would deffinately go see a nerologist! They can determine if it's something bad and perscribe the correct medicine for your types of headaches.
Believe it or not, not all medicines works the same for the different types of headaches out there.
Good Luck hope you're feeling better~

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases like RA, Back ache, earache etc. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
These useless drugs have enormous power to create hazardous side effects like liver/kidney failure, ulcer, acidity and lot others.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
Pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds!
For forehead/eyes the points will be in front of the finger nail on or below the tip of fingers.

I would suggest going to a chiropractor for an adjustment. You would be surprised to find out how an adjustment can ease the entire body, and if they offer acupuncture, I would suggest that as well. Those chiropractors really know what they are doing and can make you feel so much better.

Go back to the doctor and complain some more about the severity of the pain, if that's an option for you.

Sounds like migraine. Cool your temples with damp cloth. Stay in darkened room. Eat sensibly (salty/fatty foods will make it worse). Avoid alcohol.
