instead of using the packets - buy a bag of instant oatmeal . Put 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 cup very hot tap water in a LARGE bowl, and microwave for 1 min 35 seconds. Its cheaper than the packets, just as easy, and tastes better. The pre-flavoured ones have a bit of an off-taste from the artificial flavourings. Then you can add the flavors you like, brown sugar, maple syrop, raisins, cinnamon and apple sauce, sliced or frozen strawberries or blueberries.

Cook your oatmeal using milk instead of water; add a little bit of butter and some cinnamon to the brown sugar, top with fruit like applesauce, dried blueberries or cranberries, or sliced banana and it should taste lovely.

do you make it with milk or water?....try making it with milk...its makes it taste better.
otherwise, try adding some flavorings...like Vanilla...or you can buy some LorAnn Oils...add a drop or 2 into your oatmeal and its a totally different flavor.
Also maybe add in some fruit if you have it on hand...
or add in a spoonful of Cream Cheese and let it melt away in there....or if your feeling good...add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to it and let it melt in it...probably not the healthiest thing...but it tastes great!

To get my toddler to eat oatmeal I add fresh fruit and a little sweetner. Honey is great too. To make it super healthy add some of your favorite nuts.
