A few times in my life a man has chased and done everything imaginable to get my attention and a date with me. It does take some time for me to realize intriguing qualities in some men so while I was aloof he couldn’t do enough to have my attention… but once I became interested in return each of these guys could not disappear fast enough. One returned to his antics once his actions became annoying to me and I began telling him to leave me alone.
What in the world do they expect and want when jerking me (and other women) around as such?

It basically is a test. They are feeling you out, and you are feeling them out. If it fits, it is right, and until then, unfortunately this vicious circle has to be completed over and over, until everything fits in both of your lives. It could take days, weeks, months and even years, til everything is the way its supposed to be. Don't give up, and don't waiver in what makes you happy. Because they aren't (they being the other gender). Good luck to you, and I hope for good things for you.

Yeah, that's true. That has happened to me before, some guys are just like that. They do everything in the world to get your attention when you are blowing them off and then once you try to date them and sleep with them, they vanish into thin air. Sometimes it is hard to tell if a guy really wants a relationship with you or if he just wants sex. I guess it just a hit and miss thing.

Hunter's instincts, and also the instinct to spread one's genes far and wide.
A woman invests heavily in a child (carrying him for 9 months, breast feeding, and then rearing), and therefore chooses her mate carefully.
Men, at least by nature, make a small investiment (the necessary part of his role is over after ejaculation) and therefore wants to be with as many different women as possible.
THis is the instinct that leads men to desire whats they don't have, but be bored with what they do.

They are tired of chaseing you. By the time you like them they have relized that they are wasting their time. and you are the one who is jerking around the guys, by playing hard to get.

They want sex. It's all about conquer and divide. Once they get that they are bored and move on.
