it can't cause stomach virus.... but it can cause you to acquire infections if the source of the Mucous are infected with drplet and airborne infections such as TB, and bronchitis also rabies can be transmited through Mucuous specially the saliva.....

now if you swallowed your own mucus then there's no prblem.. except when you are suffering from a pulmonary tuberculosis... because by swallowing your mucus the pathogens can be spead through out your body thus... youre PTB can progress into spinal TB or potts ...

so dont swallow mucus you should spit it out....

If your stomach acid doesnt destroy it, sure but highly unlikely. I would assume drinking too much water while eating kindda defeats the purpose of the stomach acid making possible for viruses and bacteria to make it alive into the intestinal tract casues all sorts of illness. One booger wont...so bon appetite!
