The New Testiment is simply a reiteration of the Old testiment. Lets replace the words Testiment with Covenant which is the truth of the matter.
Lets also replace the word New in New Testiment with what the word actually means "renewed"
Not New as in totally differant but Renewed as in ratified by the very blood of God, since all covenants were ratified with blood usually of animals, So that when man fails to live up to the Commandments of the covenant then the blood price (death to the breaker of the covenant) has already been payed by God himself in the body of Yahshua Messiah.
So since it is simply the old covenant renewed and ratified with a better sacrifice than animals then all of the commands, statutes and ordinances apply except those which require a blood sacrifice since the ultimate blood sacrifice has been paid.
There is nothing in the Old Tesiment that is in direct contridiction to the New and in fact most of the new is a reiteration of the old including almost every single word that Yahshua says. Oh wait he said it both times didn't he. Golly gee and he is the same Yesterday, Today and... tomorrow... But "christians" seem to forget that little fact don't they.
What Feast will we be keeping in Jerusalem when He returns to earth? Is it Christmas or is it..... hmmm The Feast of Tabernacles, which according to the "christians" who answered this has been fulfilled and we don't have to keep anymore. Hmm..
I'll tell you what if you think you should ignore the Torah and Haftorah (old testiment) and keep only the new, and you think you can worship God any way you see fit even though he repeatedly tells you NEVER EVER DO IT I can guarentee you won't be keeping either on in the kingdom.. You'll be a cinder.
Repent! The Kingdom of God is at hand!

you're misinterpreting the passage right here. whether your interpretation have been impressive, Christians could nevertheless no longer be required to maintain that regulation except they underwent circumcision, and Gentile Christians weren't in any respect required to realize this. Now, are there regulations codified interior the prophets? No. are you able to wreck or fulfill something interior the prophets that may no longer interior the prophets? No. If Jesus got here to "fulfill" the "regulation and prophets" then what precisely did He do to end this? "The regulation on the time grew to become into the regulation of the outdated testomony." No, the regulation in this context are the 1st 5 books of the outdated testomony writings, and could additionally communicate with the best deal of the outdated testomony writings. "instruct me a verse interior the Bible which says that it is alright to dismiss the regulations of the outdated testomony?" A loaded question. The outdated testomony is likewise the outdated covenant, and Gentile Christians never grew to grow to be a criminal party to that covenant. additionally, that covenant ended; being replaced by making use of the hot covenant. Is the hot covenant no longer stable sufficient for you? .

The New Testament fulfills the Old Testament, so a Christian does not "align" their practices with the Old Testament

without the OT the NT would be more like a pamphlet. So I do believe they both apply to our lives today. I try to live by the whole word of God but it is difficult as my flesh is weak and I am carnal by nature. Like Paul I do those things which I hate I do not want to sin I do believe that we can overcome sin with Jesus but it is a growing process.

Hebrews 1:1-3, "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake IN TIME PAST unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath IN THESE LAST DAYS spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the WORD of his power, when he had BY HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
This tells us whom we are to be guided by in these last days.

I try to stick to the New Testament.........the OT was fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Salvation comes by faith in Him alone and not through the OT law
