I don't think what you are asking has to do with what others are saying here about God not getting it right the first time. I think you are saying that although the Bible is the same book to go by for everyone, there are many ways that it is being interpreted and so there are so many different religions.

I think this is a good question. I have wondered about it too. I think if he was to reveal the real truth (that is the Bible interpreted correctly by everyone and thus everyone believe the same) by not using a human being but rather another means that all can see it would clear a lot up.

Perhaps a light in the sky and a voice that everyone hears at once and the same etc. Something anyway that there would be no reason for a only a certain group of people to say they have the truth because some guy said it was so (prophet) but by a direct means. Like Moses hearing God on the mountain when given the commandments. Let us all learn at once.

That's what many think, but God has already cleared things up in the Scriptures of the Bible.

New prophets can only bring us more false religions.
"New Prophets" of the past?
David Koresh
Jim Jones
Joseph Smith
Charles Taze Russell
Jemimah Wilkinson
Ellen G. White
Mary Baker Eddie
Muhammad
...all these have muddied the clarity of the Word.

These, and more, have been controversial and divisive personalities within the realm of faith. Among Jesus' final words on the Cross were these: "It is finished."
It's all cleared up, if folks would just read their Bibles.

Oh is THAT what Jesus meant! Thanks so much for clearing that up and dismissing all other possible meanings to his words.

I'm with Austin, it would be sweet. Unfortunately, many other answers point out the sad truth that any prophet would probably not be believed by us. I don't believe that God WANTS to clear things up. For one thing, he seems to enjoy diversity in so many things. The divisiveness is our own fault for not embracing cultural differences.

It's a sad mistake to proclaim that if there were no religion there would be no war. People are not that peace-loving, with or without God.

IF WHAT IS ALREADY PRINTED IS NOT FOLLOWED OR BELIEVED WHAT GOOD WOULD it do to send someone new?? FEW understand what or who A PROPHET IS ANYWAY TODAY..i see on tbn a woman that calls herself prohet but according to how GODS word describes a prophet all today that claim this spiritual gift today are delusional or just plain liars...
SOO MANY MINISTERS today are in it for profit only or they only teach what suits them leaving out the part that doesnt fit in to what they themselves were taught ... IF U GO TO SEMINARY and they dont believe a particular truth the bible points out will they teach this to you then??
IF u dont believe in what some of what the bible teaches will you then teach this to your church?? THIS WAS TALKED ABOUT BEFORE IN THE BIBLE WITH ISREAL // their priests were not directing the people in the truth hiding their eyes from GODS LAWS.. google it or go to bible gateway and reference this mj

God has already revealed that Mohammad is the seal of Prophet hood in Quran. No any other Prophet will come. However Jesus will return as the Leader of Muslims and Christian. He will clear the differences between Muslims and Christians.

Christians think we Muslims will convert as Christians and Muslims think that Christians will convert as Muslims. Process of Christians converting as Muslims has already begun. Christians will convert as Muslims when Jesus will say I never said that I am son of God or God myself. Since Christianity has too many sects and differences amongst themselves as compared to Muslims. Therefore it is very likely that they will join Muslims after Jesus returns.

There are at least two witnesses to appear before the second coming of Jesus as the Messiah, the first coming was Jesus as the Redeemer. The prophet Elijah will return as one of the witnesses: this is one dude you won't want to mess with.

God has said all that needs to be said already. It's called the Holy Bible. The Bible and the way it works is not for the sinner to understand. To make the Bible clear and understandable, you must first repent of your sins with a pure desire and want for God and Jesus and their way of life. Then God will open your mind for understanding.

Maybe he has already. A lot of the current-day prophets are false. The Bible says ONE false prophecy cannot be made by a prophet.
I know of a few guys who claim to be prophets and have had fulfilled prophecies.
Read the Bible, it has all the truth you need.
