That's a simple one....
The author of the book of Hebrews (11:1) says it every simply. "Faith is the evidence of things not seen..."
Anyone who believes anything - whether a scientific "fact", that what the bank says is in their bank account is really there, that their mother loves them, or that God exist - does so on "faith". They look at the evidence, and then an intellectual leap to a conclusion. ("The bank has already had my money in the past, so they will have it now".) That "conclusion" (which is really an act of faith) usually becomes the final piece of evidence they need to accept it. It becomes the "evidence" for the thing.
Once a person has made such a leap of faith (come to a conclusion) it takes additional evidence on otherwise to change that conclusion. So of course, they will want evidence on aother religion (or bank, or scientific fact, or how a person feels about them) before they will change their "faith".
Why would it be any different in religion than any other area?
If you want to change a person belief, you have to give them facts/evidence/reason to change.

A lot of the prophecies were true. Jesus was proven to be a real person, regardless if he was God or not, he actually existed as a person. This is the only religion where people were raised from the dead, and the only one where the prophecies came true (unless some other religions share the same prophecies lol). They just found Noah's ark. Even evolutionist scientists agree that the Grand Canyon was formed by a flood or large amount of water, not just the Colorado river, and people say coal is the remains of animals that are millions of years old and that coal is made over millions of years but recent studies have proven that coal can be formed in 9 months so that means the earth is not nessecarily mililons of years old.

Just the faith is not enough that our religion is true.
Even Hindus who worship multiple God and worship their idles have faith that they are on right path.
Though God has to be one who created heaven and earth and every thing in between the two. Most religions agree to this belief. But true religion has to be only one. Not faith alone but the principals, the logic, the understandability of religious believes, religion being close to nature of humans, what make more sense, the logical proof looking at the creations of God and thinking about them and coming to conclusion that there has to be only one God who created every thing so perfect except because he is under test....are the tests of a religion to find if it is true religion.

Faith & religion isn't the same thing. Faith & relationship is more like it. I pray to God (communicate) & have God given faith in the God I pray to. I hear Gods answer. Faith is trusting & obeying God. So? Trust & obey God is acting out my faith. So? That would be my relgion. Faith doesn't result because I am so religious, or what religious rituals I do. Though I do acts of obedience (religious acts) because I trust & obey God when God is a light unto my path.
Faith doesn't prove my religion is true. I am not very religious. I follow after the Spirit rather than follow after the written letter too closely.
Faith is the evidence of things hoped for. So? When I reseive faith that God heard my prayer, then I receive confirmation. I have what I have asked for even though it hasn't manifested yet. When it does manifest, I thank God again.
I have faith in God & that is to trust & obey Jesus Christ & His Word. This is because God writes his love & laws in our soft hearts.

I think that the Christian faith has been around for so long that it has burned itself into our society, and is overwhelmingly seen as the norm. Thus, for most Christians, to them faith is really all they need because they aren't going to be ridiculed that often, especially if their family and those that surround them share their same belief system. And since this belief is burned in so bad, when someone presents a new idea, it is threatening. Thus they must ask for something that obviously won't be given. Like evidence

Faith has to be enough, because there is no tangible evidence available.
Faith is also required to believe that other religions are incorrect.
Faith is required to believe that tangible evidence exists somewhere.
Faith is required to believe that the 'tingling up your spine' feeling is the Holy Spirit and not a release of endophines.

My faith is unique in that we (Jews) do not believe that our way is the only way. Its just our deal with G-d and others can have their own paths. We dont believe ours is more right or better or anything like that. Its just our personal contract.
Why am I Jew? Because I was born that way. Why wont I follow another religion? Because Im not one to break 5000 years of traditions. I dont care what others believe, they have nothing to prove to me.

It's not enough. I didn't become a Christian until I had sufficient evidence. Faith (belief or trust) is a response to the evidence. If there was no evidence to suggest that Christianity is true, it would be foolish to believe it.

It isnt.
At least not as far as Islam goes.
But lets be clear on what faith is shall we.
Faith in the existence of God is not something you can prove by logic alone.
Faith in a message, sent by God, is something you can study and see for yourself if its truly God sent or human made.
Human made messages will have logical faults in them and will not be thoroughly thought of. Lets face it, humans are deficit. In many ways.
If my religion seems to be the only one that has thought of everything, and has a guide for every aspect of my life, and i fnd that impossible to be done by the hand of a single man. Then sue me.

LOL!
Well, faith is enough for me to prove to ME that my religion is true... but I accept all religions as having some truth...it's when we declare that our's is the truth for everyone that my brain shuts down and I start singing the theme song to the love boat in my head.... Obviously this question wasn't directed towards me, but I wanted to throw my 32 cents in....
