All prayers that seek forgiveness from God for sins and asking God for guidance to the right path are prayers.

God has taught humans sending them psalms and prayers like Muslims received Surah Al-Fatiha the first chapter in Quran from God which they repeat in every prayer.

I think every day we "believers" should take into account our sin before God. After all we nailed his son to a tree. How about practicing James 5:16? That usually separates the "chosen" from the rest of the church-goers!

I pray everyday and I do ask for my forgiveness everyday and I ask the Lord to give me discernment so I will be aware when I fail him. I talk to him like he is my father that I love very much and I know will always love me more.
