well im dating this guy and i know he loves me, but im not sure that i love him. ive never been in love so i dont know what its like. i think about him all the time and want to be with him a lot , but id rather be with my friends than him and im embarressed to show him to my parents. but i really never stop thinking about him. i just dont know if i love him or not! any opinions?

Love is a feeling you cant really explain. You dont have to have been in love before to know what love feels like. It is just a feeling you get like no other. Like in any relationship people need their space and its ok to want to hang out with your friends and things but the fact that you do think about him does mean you have some kind of feelings towards him. And whatever you do dont tell this guy "I LOVE YOU" just because you dont want to feel guilty about not feeling the same way. Its better you just tell him the truth and in the end no one gets hurt. It depends how old you are, it sounds like your a teen, because you dont want to introduce him to your parents ... im not saying that you can't fall in love at that age but since you'd rather be with your friends.. i think you just really like this guy.

i think that if you'll rather spend time with your friends instead of him then your not. I gave up my whole party lifestyle to be with my girl beacuse I love her. She is my bestfriend and my true love and when i'm not with her I feel like i'm missing something. I'm always missing her if shes not with me and I would do anything and everything for her. When I see her I get butterflies and my heart starts racing. If you feel like this then u are but I dont think you are. I think you just have a crush on him. ,aybe overtime you might truly love him. Thats how it started with me and my girl.

Say no more......If you are embarrassed to introduce him to your parents, then you DON'T love him. Since you'd rather be with your friends, than him, you DON'T love him. When a person is truly in love, they want to be with this person a lot & can't wait to take him home to meet their parents. You are not truly in love, so do him a big favor, & gently tell him that you don't feel towards him as he feels about you, & it's not fair to allow things to continue as they have.

If you'd rather be with friends than with him, and you're embarrassed to introduce him to your parents, you definitely don't love him.
Loving someone means enjoying their company, appreciating their good qualities, respecting them and trusting them. Thinking about someone all the time isn't love, it's romantic obsession.
Maybe it's time to gently tell this guy he's not the one for you. Then both of you can look for someone who can return your love.

Being "in love" is the most beautiful felling in the entire world... You know you are in love when you feel him in your soul, your smile, your every fiber is touched by his very thought even if he is not there. Trust me you smile in your sleep, all day. Also when you are in love and if you don't know it, the people that know you best know that you are in love! If you don't know this is "the one" go get "the one." it is the best feeling in the world.. I think if everyone was "in love" the world would be the safest place ever!

After dating my current boyfriend for only a week, he spit out the words, "I love you." it shocked me at first, but I said it back. I wasn't sure if I meant it though. But I've come to realize that I long for him and whenever I see him I am filled with immense happiness. I KNOW that I love him. I think you'll know when you love him, it'll just hit you. :)

when your truelly in love your friends are not the ones you think of hanging out with and your most certainly not embarressed by them so it is probably just the attintion he gives you that you miss. this is not love maybe just lust.
