What makes you think atheists would attribute it to YOUR religion's god?
As opposed to the other several thousand with equal proof of existence?
(I personally would see it as an act of Marduk. So there.)

Science will be able to heal amputees in the not to distant future
Project ENCODE is a consortium of molecular geneticists looking into the 98+% of the human genome which is junk DNA (not involved in protein assemblage). It appears that much of our DNA is actually a landscape of deactivated genes from our ancestors. For instance, the Mexican Salamander (so far the only amphibian to have its genome sequenced) can re-grow severed limbs. And the genes that control the proteins that regrow severed limbs are still present in human junk DNA, in deactivated form, thanks to the fact that human ancestors from 335 million years ago were amphibians. It will take a lot more research to determine just how these genes function and how they can be reactivated in humans, but some day it may well be possible to medically stimulate the regrowth of human amputated limbs through gene therapy, thanks to our evolutionary heritage.

you don't see your god doing anything, do you? so it is not going to happen, never will, don't bother waiting for it. get a life, eat chicken.

well have you ever read some atheists "proofs" that God doesn't exist? All gods except the Christian God cannot logically exist because they are restricted to the same deminsions of time and space that we are.
