Uhm...interchange "religion" with politics in your second sentence and you'll find the answer to your question is obvious: BOTH. How do you know when a politician is lying? Their LIPS ARE MOVING!!!!
Duh.

An agnostic president is at least honest about the fact that he doesn't know if there is a God. The religious president probably has faith that there is a God (if he's Christian) which means he assumes it based on no evidence. Based on that, I'd say the religious president would be most likely to lie, but if not lying is part of his religion, then he'd be less likely.

I don't think the answer is clear at all. I would have to know, if the religious president had good intuition, that allowed him/her to be in a more harmonious connection with the universe and spiritual reality. The spiritual does exist to those who have the intuition to sense it. They just need to have an accurate picture of reality, in both the material and the spiritual realm. An agnostic may actually be better tuned in spiritually, but has not figured out yet, a defintion for God that would work for him/her. I would have to make the judgement, based on my evaluation of them, individually.

Yeah...I have to agree with the first responder...they're both Politicians....If I had to say one or the other though, I would say the Christian would lie before the agnostic. Christians answer to a forgiving God who will forgive all no matter what the lie, deception or etrocity. Agnostic's answer to themselves...accountable for their own actions. We live in the real world and know that whatever we do wrong will come back on us in one way or another.

To become President of the United States, you have had to make some pretty important connections and most of the time that involves squishing your belief system in such a way as to fit someone elses. Unfortunate but true. Politicians are shady-even the good ones. it is the nature of the beast!
btw Most of life involves claiming to know things you can't personally prove, so what is your point???

A religious president. Because their answers will always be biased toward their personal beliefs rather than that of the good of the people at large.

They would lie equally, just about different things. Nobody gets to be president without being a liar first.

I would prefer secular state institutions, leaving personal belief on each individual. Secular schools, secular army, secular Courts. No adding "and may the Lord help us in..." to every single statment.
disregard, I missed the "lie to" and misunderstood the question. The statment itself is true yet irrelevant .

There's not enough information here to draw a conclusion.
Your answer to your own question is based on a false premise, though, so it's obviously not right -- unless you intend to say the agnostic is most likely to lie.

Lies have nothing to do with religion , or the lack of it . It does have to do with personality , character , and morals .
Some of the most skillful liars in the world are the super-billionaire telepreachers .
