yes
there have been times i wished some one would just die, then i had thought, what if they, or the person, does die, could it be my fault for thinking such thoughts, and pray to God to forgive me for wishing such things.

This will be a unpopular question but yes, there is one person who I did wish were dead at times. I kept it in my head and the reason for it was because of the mental/emotional abuse I had to put up with.

I stopped doing this and it's taken me awhile but sometimes I ask God to just take care of that person (whichever way HE feels is the best way) because I cannot handle him anymore. He's made me want to cut myself (which I haven't done that) and a few times I would think of suicide, Which I obviously never did.

I figured out that there was a reason this person still exhists, even though he makes a lot of people frustrated and unhappy. We each have a reason to be here on earth, to learn lessons to become closer to God.

Yes I have, I have to admit it. I've done so in anger and in rage. I've also done so in cold anger, which I think is the worst, because then you *know* what you're doing instead of just flying off the handle and making the wish en pique.
There are a few people I still wish were dead (but they've hurt me very deeply) and I don't regret that I still wishe them harm.
This is my karma and at least I know that it is.

I only know this:
Jesus Christ taught us to love our neighbors. Can anyone argue that the world would not be a better place if we all followed this greatest commandment? I am a Catholic, which means I am a Christian above all else. I hope everyone can follow this teaching of Jesus, whether you are Christian or not.

If you would like to know more about my faith, I suggest that you go to Catholic Answers at http://www.catholic.com and then look at the left sidebar: You will see many subjects. You can click on one and see tracts that will answer your questions. Also, the search engine searches 20 years worth of articles from "This Rock" magazine. There are a lot of great articles there too

The"official" Catechism Of The Catholic Church is online at: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/entiretoc1.htm
This is a difficult document to read. (The book is about three inches thick!) But, there is a wealth of information there too if you take the time to learn how to navigate it.

May the Lord our God bless you and keep you, and cause His Face to shine upon you.

I saw my mother get consumed by a ferociously progressive and debilitating illness. I knew that science was not able to do anything for her, I was torn between the pain of the certainty of losing her but knowing at the same time that only death would ease her suffering. At those times, I understood that there are situations when we are able to wish death for someone out of love.

Why would you wish ill on others if you didn't want the same to come upon you?

Don't know if this counts, but I have prayed for God to bring someone home so he may have peace. My husband's uncle was in the last stages of cancer, wa in extreme pain, and it was clear that death was imminent. I prayed for God to bring him on home and end his pain and suffering.

Some people are like slinkies. Not good for anything but you can't help but smile as you watch them fall down the stairs.
