...your new understanding was written about a thousand years ago by some pope and associates?
If you have not discovered that the catholic chuch is way ahead of you, you have not studied the Bible.
You can nit-pik all you want to. But go straight to the bottomlne. They believe you will go to heaven and you believe you will go to Heaven. Sub-cults have Mickey Moused around to makew it look like they are the "chosen" ones. But it is plagerism of the logo of the Cult Of Octavian. The sub-cult want a piece of the action.

I've studied and taught the Bible for the past Sixteen Years, and I have no idea what you are talking about.

The Bible was written by Jewish Prophets, Old and New Testament (with the exception of Luke, who wrote his gospel and Acts). It is the anthology of Hebrew Prophecy. Many Catholic concepts such as the Trinity, Purgatory, Assumption of Mary, etc. are nowhere to be found in it. If the Bible were a purely Catholic book, then the Orthodox and Assyrian Churches would have a different book, wouldn't they? If it were a purely Catholic book, it would have been rejected and repudiated by the Protestants, wouldn't it? Instead, the Protestants used it to point out all the failings of the Catholic Church.

The more I read the Bible, the more I am excited about the Messiah Yeshua, who is revealed in its pages.
God Bless.

I somewhat have studied the Bible and found no contradictions. in case you're taking it slow to benefit and positioned each and everything into context you will no longer come across a single contradiction. How has it replaced my opinion of the Bible? I now fee you it much extra by using fact i'm able to optimistically say that it is the be attentive to G-d.

"written 1,000 years ago by some pope." is an inaccurate statement.
No pope wrote a Bible book and the Bible was completed in the year 98.
That's a tad more than 1,000 years ago.
The bottom line is the Catholic church did their best to rid the earth of the Bible.
Does the word 'inquisition' recall anything to mind?
