When you think about it, don't all religions, no matter how many gods they have, have one major God? Christianity has God, Jesus, Angels, Holy Ghost, Mother Mary, Saints, Etc. Hinduus have several Gods, Buddhism has several Gods, the list goes on and on just to name a few and I am sorry to all other religions that I have left out, but I want to know, really want to know, if the fact is that no matter what all the people call their head honcho God isn't the same guy just a different name for different races and different religions and again why are we all fighting about it? Or is all the fighting really about power and greed and lust?!

All the wars are about money, power and greed. Every war can be traced to these things but the thing is they veil this with religious rhetoric.

Palestine issue isn't about religions because during Muslims rule, all three religions lived side by side with much problem. Only after the British mandate did the trouble start, with the British suppressing the people until they gave the rule over.

in my opinion
people always think they are right
and of course, people chose what is right for him
and the religion he believe is the one WHICH is the BEST..
people are very sensitive especially when they go Fanatic.
they talk about God everyday while their life does not reflect what he is so devoted in. and people start to be stereotyping people.
it's a human Nature that they think others are no better than their group and they will start throwing question to test others or humiliate others such as...Beef is a creation of God. what is so sacred about it?
God always mention "Lamb Of God" but American still order lamb shank, rack of lamb and curry mutton...what is so special of beef other than tenderloin?
this question can trigger people's offending system. if you say this word in front of more than 2people,who concern about it, you will be killed on the spot. if you only offended single people and they goes off, the real seed of war begin.
this particular people will exaggerate this matter and more and more people will join for the act and the other offending party will also find a group of people saying they came to kill us because they hate Christian. yeah this offending people are also adding secret recipe and ingredient to make it hot for the sake of the bloodshed....

May All the people life in peace, see as everybody are doing their own belief for the sake of discipline and live in trust. respect others and do not talk about others.
this world is already really depressing
just don't add trouble..
God Bless

Christians embrace the Holy Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That is three in one. I believe this is the only true God, not Gods. Whose fighting? Whose religious beliefs embrace terrorism?
The events in history of explorers who devastated Hawaiians, Indians (Mexico) and the like raped and pillaged those foreign lands in the name of (So-called Christian) God. Yes, this was about power and greed. God will or has given their just reward.

Contrary to your understanding, Buddhism denies the existence of God. It is also unanimously accepted that no war had been declared under the name of Buddha.

'No killing' is a basic Buddhism precept (don'ts). This applies to all living beings, including animals. Thus, no one can ever declare against a war against other religions under the name of Buddha.

Fighting for peace is like
unto fornicating for chastity.

Hallowed Name of God = Grace
Pure Grace = Pure Religion

Wars are fought in the name of law,
bloodshed(sacrifice) is via impure religion.

Sacrifice is notably what God will not have,
and it is notably not then, not now, not ever.

it somewhat is genuine that many wars have been led to with the aid of religion or with the aid of non secular fanatics. yet replaced into Adolf Hitler pushed with the aid of religion, even although he hated the Jews? The Falklands conflict wasn't began with the aid of religion, neither replaced into the conflict in Vietnam. maximum wars are led to with the aid of the skill loopy, or with the aid of those that choose for to improve their territories as with the 1st Gulf conflict, the tried annexing of Kuwait. regardless of if, there are too many religious fanatics that would kill particularly than enable different religions and those are the risky ones, those that attempt to impose their faith upon us. It would desire to be suggested that Christianity is one faith that tolerates others and aside from the Crusades, i won't submit to in suggestions any military going to conflict interior the call of Christianity.

What ever the 'God' deity is in religions, the vast majority agree there is a supreme being. I agree with you, why do we have wars in the name of that deity? It has nothing to do with worship, it has everything to do with the idea of hating anyone who does not agree with you. I think it's more fear than anything. My feeling is...believe whatever you want to believe and allow me to do the same there is no need for us to kill each other because of it.

i personally believe that all the religions were created to have some kind of power over ppl. i mean catholics dont believe in birth control, mormans believe in the book of morman and the holy bible and they believe that u should repent for your sins and really feel bad and beg for forgiveness. i mean, correct me if im wrong, but didnt Jesus die to save us from our sins? God is loving, he created us all out of love and gave us all free will. it is up to us to do the right thing, but if we dont, we are already forgiven. i dont believe in any one particular religion, i believe in spirituality. i believe that our god or our higher power is full of love and that's the only thing he knows is love. i also believe in reincarnation...when we die we go back to our creator and view our life. then we come back down and learn other lessons and go thru karma for what we did in our last lifetime. i believe we keep doing this until we become enlightened.

hope this helps...good luck with everything, have a great day :D

You're on the right track.

Historically, religion has been a big catalyst for conflict. It's part power, part greed and part lust as you said. It's also a failure and intolerance to understand each other and their beliefs.
