Maybe as a result of prior civilization's experiments, contamination, genetic engineerings. Were our mythological Chimeras actually true creations of the Atlantis Era. Was the Earth impacted sinking Atlantis, creating a flood to exterminate all Chimeras and Quasimodos? How insensible and stubborn are our world leaders! How much political-ideological dreamers are their followers today? Answer any of these questions at your will.

Well it certainly happens more often among humans, so maybe it is the result of human contamination. Why is people trying to deny that nuclear tests, and genetic and other medical tests can cause such mutations. How elusive!

India is in 4th place in Nuclear Energy, and yet many fix their teeth on a contaminated sidewalk.

The flood wiped out the half man/ fall angel hybrids.... the girl with 8 limbs.... something inutero happened that stopped the other twin fully developing and then growning into the identical twin it could have been... God knows why it happened as it did.

Little Lakshmi Tatma was a tragic victim of a medical problem. My heart goes out to her and her family. She became like that as a result of the fetus of an unborn twin fused into her. I also feel sorry for the unborn twin.

It is not related to any myth. It is just a very sad tragedy.

The situation with this unfortunate girl was clearly medical. Her body had absorbed the remainder of a parasitic twin. These things happen. but don't manifest themselves often the way they did with her. In some cases the host twin looks like he or she is pregnant. There was a discovery channel piece on this phenomenon earlier in this year.

I think it was beautiful. She looked like a hindu goddess (I.E. that is probably why her parents named her Lakishmi) but it would have been crippling for her to live in a world like to day with people judging and shunning her, but I guarantee if she had been born a couple of centuries ago, in india, she would have been considered a Goddess!

Well, these kinds of things happens in the animal world (humans are of the animal kingdom). The bible thumpers would say that god did it for his own mysterious reasons. Let's all hope that the operation goes successfully.

um, she had 8 limbs because she was supposed to be a twin.
like there was two fetuses, but one wasn't strong enough to survive, and normally it would have just died, but it sort of fused with the other one, and it made a kid with 8 limbs.
Its alot like conjoined twins, except in this case both twins didn't survive.
