Isn't sorcery calling or trying to manipulate higher powers to produce results? With that said, what real difference is there between that and praying?

~Its more the other way around. Prayer is involved in spell casting, but there is much more to casting a spell than prayer. When you cast a spell you are playing a more active role in raising energy to produce an outcome. A prayer is just a request to the divine that it raise the energy for you.

But prayer can also be said in thanksgiving, and it can come in the form of communing with the divine as in ritual or meditation.

It relies upon on the form of prayer. some prayer takes from in meditation, this is greater approximately gathering your very own techniques. it could contain a concept in a severe skill, however the objective isn't to talk with them it somewhat is greater approximately gathering your self mentally. could a prayer be intentionally attempting to talk with a a procedures better skill, there is rather little distinction between that and spellcasting.

Prayer is primarily meant to be blessed from the higher source. It is also a form of inner love and interest towards the higher power. The real prayer includes divine knowledge and divine reasoning.

However, there are some rituals related to evil souls or similar meta physical forces which can be misused like spell casting or black magic. More than reality there are many thrilling and spicy extra stories about these which needs to be neglected.

However spell casting or cursing may even happen even if a normal person deeply feels something real pain in the heart.

Tha is why it is said that give happiness and take happiness. Give blessings and take blessings from each and every one. The power blessings and goodwishes will protect us from the harmful influences of the others thoughts or cursings

All the best

Yes and no. Real praying doesn't not involve manipulating higher powers to produce results. You usually are asking for guidance and help, while searching your own mind and soul. On the other hand, when you gamble for example, you usually pray the God will give you luck and that you will win a huge jackpot! See the difference?

They are both about the sending of energy outward, in general working through a deity and trying to effect change. There are different types of prayers though: Thanks, blessings, etc. Those just involve an acknowledgement and no transformation is required nor asked for. When someone is asking for healing prayers, for prayers to help them find a job, etc, itis the same thing as spellcraft. The names are different but the effects are the same.

Hum... good question.

Yes, praying is in a minor way a form of spell casting, but not the complete method or way.
And to think our ancestors were put to the stack by the very christians who adopted praying from so said witches and pagans.

Yes. Just like spellcasting is a form of prayer. It all depends on your religion.

Yes. Spellcasting can also be considered a manipulation of yourself BY yourself to produce results.

None...praying is indeed a form of spellcasting, just as all the church trappings (swinging incense, drinking wine, eating crackers) are all a part of those particular rituals.
