I read the article, “New York's $25,000 dessert sets Guinness record,” and I started getting scared.

I started thinking what if some really poor or homeless person walked in and saw this great sundae and ordered one then got the bill and couldn’t pay it. And what if the shop tried to have him arrested or something awful! It’s not plausible, I know. The shop would see a homeless person coming and never serve him at $25K sundae! But what’s wrong with me to seriously worry about this sort of thing…something that’d NEVER happen? I’ve been doing this kind of thing a lot lately…

Paying $25,000 for a dessert item is nuts.

Perhaps you are seeing in the way the world is going a huge lack of spirituality, morality and decency~ and this is your inner spirit's way of bothering you to do something about it? Perhaps you've been noticing the materialistic age at its peak but just couldn't put your finger on it? Perhaps you've been seeing just how it is that people can put a business's most expensive dessert in front of the welfare of a fellow human being?

I see stuff like that all the time. The way money and materialism have taken a front seat to the basics - even water, food and shelter have begun to be exploited, get more and more expensive, and so on...

Could this be it? Could you be having a spiritual awakening?

If You're nuts, join the club. But i don't think that Your reaction to this particular situation is crazy. I think that whoever made that dessert may need some counseling.

Your thoughts do You credit, depending on what You mean by "this sort of thing." You see a ridiculous waste of food and find pity for those who are too poor to eat.

Brightest Blessings.

You need to get more focused on your own life, and spiritual development, and stop useless speculation. Pray/meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, don't overindulge, and look for inspiration from all possible sources. You can not directly change, what happen to others, like homeless people, but you can change your future. God wants us all to contribute to a better world. Focus on developing your skills and talents, so you can help address the serious problems we have in this world.

Did someone mention nuts? Were?!

But don't worry, you're not nuts. A lot of people tend to worry about things that may not or can not happen.

And look at it this way, only a sane person would think he was crazy. A crazy person would think every one else was crazy.

Nope, you aren't nuts, just in awe at the stupidity of humans, thats all. It is really sad when you see how many have so much money they cannot figure out what to do with it.
You have a conscience. You care for your fellow man.
I say good for you!

There's nothing wrong with thinking stuff like that and even imagining some weird scenarios, but what's dangerous about this is when you imagine things and then you start believing it. That my friend you need to avoid, otherwise you'll end up to shrinks.
