If its VERY SMALL OK, but your right, although we may find tattoos beautiful, the business world does not. I think you should stick to the military rule of cant have a tattoo "where it shows" IE, hands, neck, face, any place that would show if you had clothes on, and for women, that means leg and calf area too.

I love tattoos on the inside of the wrist. I'm planning to get a couple ambigrams on the inside of mine before long. I think you'll be fine. Most businesses are slowly getting used to the fact that many of their employees are going to have tattoos. You might have to cover it, but even with the wrist that's simple enough. Wear long sleeves or a bracelet to interviews so that you're not automatically disqualified, then if your boss has objections later on you can still keep it covered. I have a tat on the inside of my forearm that shows while I'm at work, but since my boss has more tats than I do...its not really a problem ;)

Kay I have braclets on both wrists and most times they go un-noticed. I also have them high enough right above the wrist bone so if I wear a long sleeve shirt they are covered.
Id suggest you think about the placement carefully and explain your concerns to your artist. You can cover it a varitey of ways such as long sleeves, braclets and watches! Whatever works for you.
Since the tattoo is for life think about your placement - and get it where you want after all its YOUR tattoo!

I dont think it's right, but a neighbor of mine lost a job opportunity because of her small wrist yingyang tattoo . . . I won't eat at that restaurant anymore, but that doesn't help her as she has to move back in with her mother and lose her apt.
Also, in San Antonio Texas, an apt. company is refusing to rent to folks who have visible tats.
So think carefully. You can divorce a man. You have to have a laser scar over a tattoo.

I think if you'd like to get a tattoo like that then I'd get a type of make-up to cover it up when you go to a job interview because instantly when an employer looks a tattoo they get a pre-thought idea about you before you even say "hi".

If you are going into a professional type job - then put it where it can be hidden. People will judge you. My sister in law put hers on the back of her neck where her hair covers it. If she wants to show it she just wears her hair up.
Nothing wrong with a tattoo - but definatly put it somewhere you can cover it.

The "tattoo taboo" is really fading out. A lot of respectable people have tattoos now. I'd do it. If you have an interview that your worried about, just wear long sleeves. If you love it, get it. =)

i think your having doubts and should wait and think on it more. its a piece of jewelry you can never take off. maybe u could find a less noticeable place for the tattoo. although i doubt in this day and age you would have to worry about it preventing job opportunities. its trendy isn't it?

It's smarter to get a tattoo on your upper arm at the very lowest. That way T-Shirts will be able to cover it should you need to. I think most tattoo artists won't do anything so close to your hands for that very reason.
