I'm so angry. My father was injured in the war and some of his closest friends were killed. How can God let this happen? They go to church every Sunday except while deployed (they cannot get to a Christian church).

I'm pretty sure that if God didn't exist scientists would have been able to prove it by now.

This is a sad question. You obviously believe in the whole "god" thing. You might as well ask why Santa didn't give you the gift you specifically asked him for. What, did he forget? Did he run out before he got to your house? Don't ask why your god allows terrible things to happen. He's got nothing to do with it. Terrible things happen because humans are too damn stupid to learn to live with each other. That's a big reason behind the god myth. We can't get along unless we believe there is a cost, a price to be paid if we don't get along. Trouble is, the Muslims believe that killing us is something they will be rewarded for. So much for divine retribution.

Sweet heart....I can feel your pain.

We have evil in this world not because God has abandoned us, but because other people choose to do evil, and even more people refuse to get involved, and fight it.,allowing it to grow bigger.

This is a fallen world, and heroes like your Dad are 100% in the center of God's will, by fighting the evil.....if there were more people like him and his friends, there would be no terrorism.

Right now, most of Europe is cowardly and selfish. They left fighting terrorism up to USA and Britain....so they could have their arab oil. If ALL the free nations were helping us, we would have won already, and your Dad would have never been hurt. In every war or battle, there are always casualties. The USA needs help from other countries so more of this injury will not happen. These other countries need to find God and their consciences. They support the terrorists by doing nothing. In time, God will punish these nations who refuse to help.

Without God, people are evil and selfish. Your Dad is a good man. Know that if he is a Christian, then trust his faith and judgment. We do not always get rewards on this earth for being good. Sometimes we get rewarded in the next life.

Scientists can only work with the physical world..they cannot prove anything in the spiritual realms....it is a different set of rules,

God, at times, chooses not intervene. Not because he doesn't care about these people or you. God knows all things and desires the best for everyone. Dying is not all bad, especially if you are a righteous individual. Take for example your Dad's closest friends. I assume they are great people and God would think so too. So what is going to keep them out of heaven? Nothing. Isn't heaven a better place than here anyway?

So, what about the people who cause this? Well, sometimes God allows these things to happen so he can place a very powerful judgment on them when the time comes. They will not escape his wrath, even though they may escape the world's. It also is to see what we do. Are we trusting enough in God to accept his will and still do good? I mourn for the loss of these excellent people, but I will respect their memories and respect who they were and what they have sacrificed for our country.

I am sorry to hear that your father was injured during his deployment. I have been deployed to Iraq twice and praise the Lord for the protection that he gave me. Now, I know that there are Christian services in Iraq, I made it a point to go to service every week.

Now, regarding your question. Pain and suffering are things that are allowed by God for multiple reasons. In order to strengthen steel, it must be pounded repeatedly and molded into the form that is usable. This is one purpose for which the Lord allows suffering. Also, we must understand that Satan has a hand in much of the evil and suffering that goes on in the world.

I pray that you will not allow this event to cause you to doubt your faith. Stay strong and grow in the Lord.

God loves his chosen people and lets us chose to love him or not and just going to church is not enough, you must devote yourself to him and spend every minute of your life to him and preach the gospel and god does not control us so he cannot stop evil people from doing evil things because he loves us so much including these evil people. If your dad and his closest friends believed and was baptized at the second coming of the lord Jesus Christ they will all be brought with him to the 1000 year wedding feast or something like that

You're blaming God for what men do. Men have free will, which some use to obey God, while others use it to disobey Him.

Nothing new under the sun.

Bottom line: there are some evil folks in the world. But, don't worry, in the end, God will take care of it ... no unsolved crimes in Heaven. Everyone will get exactly what they deserve because God is totally just.

I don't know why and for that matter no one else does either - at least not with total certainty. I wrestled with the same question for years. I guess in the end it is all about faith.

In World War II, millions of Jews were persecuted. Millions of Jew died in concentration camps, gas chambers, ...etc. In the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, the Jews are the chosen people. Yet, God allowed them to die in the Holocaust. I asked a survivor of the Holocaust how could he still worship God afterwards. I asked if he felt betrayed by God. His reponse was "I don't worship God in order to have a trouble free life. I worship Him because He is God. I have faith in him even when problems arise." In the Holy Bible, it says "We live by faith and not by sight."

I won't fake to be attentive to for specific, via fact this concern isn't thoroughly addressed in the Bible as far as i will tell. yet i will provide this my ultimate shot. ok, i've got self assurance that there replace right into a component in time the place devil lead a insurrection of angels against God, and failed, and that they have got been solid out of heaven. it somewhat is the reason fallen angels are often equated with demons, and that i've got self assurance that they are one and the comparable. Now, I even have self assurance that heaven is a place the place we are reconciled to God, and there's a passage in the Bible that asserts our bodies would be like the angels...nonetheless it somewhat is doubtful no count number if we are surely to alter into angels, or something else fullyyt. One time, a church I used to attend had a huge bible learn on the priority of Heaven, or perhaps between the main ideologically conservative adult males i've got ever typical positioned forth the possibility that there is temptation or perhaps sin up there....which rocked my international once I heard it, via fact i might consistently assumed that sin does no longer be a concern. there is likewise a verse that refers to heaven and earth being destroyed, even nonetheless i won't be able to ascertain which heaven is being reported (there are 3 places stated as a "heaven", one being the clouds and the ambience, the different being the celebrities, and the 0.33 heaven is the religious heaven which we are discussing right here. the 1st and 2nd heavens have not got any religious application, different than the actuality that they represent lots of the main alluring and gorgeous aspects of God's creation). yet while the religious heaven is the only referenced, which i've got self assurance it somewhat is, then perchance heaven isn't suited. perchance there is extra to God's plan than is in the Bible, and we in simple terms are not meant to be attentive to approximately it. in the top, there is amazingly little we as human beings, whilst Christians, can do yet speculate, and each and all the suggestions I positioned forth above are speculations in accordance with what i've got study in the Bible. Asking a Christian what heaven is like is like asking an Atheist the place the great Bang got here from, it is puzzling to respond to via fact no person skilled the two of those activities. the significant component is which you have self assurance, and that i'm happy to work out somebody who's finding for solutions. in case you will possibly elect to talk extra, i may be happy to! e mail me.
