First of all I am Christian but I am a thinking Christian, I believe God gave me a mind of my own to look at the world and question, and He rejoices in my search for the truth so please no comments about how I am not a "true Christian".

Lets all get on the same page here, can we agree that Heaven has no clock meaning a moment in heaven is equal to 100 years on earth. With that being said lets start with Evolution, I watched a very good documentary called "Friends of God" on HBO and in the movie children were being taught that Evolution never happened, as a human with more than a 1st grade education I know this is ignorant. The Bible says that God created heaven and earth in 6 days but seeing as we have already established that heaven has no clock could the 6 days really be millions of years? And through those millions of years God created dinosaurs, and all of the things that Christians have come to discredit?

There is more so please do not answer yet.

Second, why is it that Matthew Mark Luke and John, taken as the words of Jesus Christ. He did not write one Gospel, actually the Gospels were written many years after His death, and there were more than the 4 Gospels but man (not God) removed them! I believe in the Gospels, I believe that Jesus died for me, but I also believe He was a man and had man like needs, there fore I also believe He was married to Mary Magdelin, if you look at the time in which He lived for a man not to be married as unheard of. But when I mention either of these points to another Christian they get up in arms and look at me like I am ignorant.

Last but not least.....I know that much has been said about Ted Haggard, the Evangelical Christian Pastor who turned out to be Gay, now that is IRONY! The Bible says many things that today we do not follow so why do Christians pick to say that homosexuality is still wrong, even though we now know it is not a choice it is the way a person is born. How can Christians say love thy neighbor and spew hate?

When it comes down to it, we don't really know how everything came to be. Evolution has a lot of evidence supporting it, but it also has a lot of holes. Does it really matter? It does not affect how I live my life today.

The Bible was written by men, and it seems obvious to me that they portrayed God in a way that would justify their own motives regarding society as a whole. This does not mean that God is not real, it just means that the Bible is not an accurate portrayal of God.

So how do we find out who God is? For one thing, the idea that god is a man is a bit ridiculous. All we can do is keep searching for a better understanding of the One, the Great Mystery, while remembering that because of our limited perspective, we can hope to comprehend only the tiniest part of the Creator.

Alright, Sweetheart, you're not evil, unChristian, or ignorant. I get it, you question. That's good. Some Christians blindly follow their religion and that wouldn't include you.

I personally believe God used evolution to create the world. I don't believe God said let there be humans and poof, there Adam was. I don't think humans particularily came from monkeys, either, but if we did, I think our present form is the fulfillment of God's creation and that's why we've not evolved further over the last few thousand years. I don't have a problem with evolution (the scientific explanation of creation) being taught in schools as a theory but I think Creation should be taught, too, as a theory.

The entire Bible was written by men; not actually penned by God. But our faith leads us to believe that God gave these men the words to write. As a matter of fact, our whole concept of religion depends on that single fact. If there were other writings that were left out, all I can do is have faith that what was preserved and what I have today is sufficient to find salvation.

I don't believe Jesus was married. It's pretty clear that Paul wasn't married so having unmarried, religious men was not unheard of. More importantly, marriage is such an overwhelming part of life (if you're married) I can't believe God wouldn't mention that Jesus was married. Personally, I think Mary M. was the adultress. Jesus literally saved her from being stoned to death. If He'd done that for me, I would probably follow Him everywhere, too.

Keep questioning. Keep searching for the truth. But remember two things. 1) We must believe the Bible, as we know it, is the inspired Word of God and all the truth we need. Otherwise, there is no possibility of finding the truth. 2) It's not wrong to question God but remember the answer Job got from God, "Where were you when I created the heavens and the earth?"

"Heavenly' time does have time. Your not rightly dividing the WORD.

2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

DId it say When GOD created the earth and heaven? No

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

"WAS" should read "became", but one has to take it back to the Hebrew it get that.
GOD distroyed the 1st earth age which killed of the Dinosaurs.
2 Pet 3:5-6, Jer 4:23-31

This vs then starts the 8 thousand years.(8th day).
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light

Yes it is true that in heaven or to God a day may be like a million years. But ask yourself this. Does a God who can come to earth as a man (Jesus) do miracles, rise the 3rd day , and be seen by 500 people over a period of 40 days in his resurrected body need to use an unproven atheistic theory like evolution to make what he can speak into existence. Macro evolution is not a fact as many Darwinists would have you believe. There is not one iota of proof for evolution. No transitional forms, no explanation for the origin of life , none, zip, zero ,nada evidence. The blending of the Bible with evolution is a work of Satan to bring men away from the truth. If at first we believe that God used evolution to create man. Then it follows that if evolution is indeed true , who needs God in the picture? Don't be fooled by men's so called science. it is foolishness with God . Read these scriptures ...

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 3:3-7 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Man's wisdom = foolishness to God
Oppositions to God's word = false science
Evolution = fable
Scoffers = atheists who deny creation and the flood

Yes. Actually from Childhood my parents would start from the beginning and read aloud through to the end for a period of time and start at the beginning again.I probably heard the whole Bible at least once a year.

I can agree with you on everything else but the marriage. It would have been mentioned somewhere. Many Holy men did not marry at that time. John the Babtist for one. If anything Jesus was alwas rather "anti marriage"
If he was married to Mary Magdelane why would he have said. 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
in Matthew 19.. Why would he tell someone to do what he couldn't do..that would defeat the purpose wouldn't it.???

I would say you can think of it this way...

There are many, many references to time within the Bible's text. Sometimes it's one day, sometimes thousands of years. I believe that these times were included in the text for a reason and that God knew how we would calculate the passing of days.

Secondly, I believe that God knew that we would be confused about some of His biblical teachings. If one doesn't have questions, they won't seek answers. Think of the parables. I believe he wanted us to strive to understand the meaning so that we could truly know him.

I don't know what to say to you but you obviously do not have the Spirit of God within you. You also seem like you have never read the entire Bible. I would repent and ask Jesus in your heart for real. Jesus is God in the flesh. From what you say it seems you don't believe that. Without believing that your Christianity means nothing.

Hmmm - anyone with more than a first grade education knows that evolution is a fact? Well, there's a whole lot of people out there with more letter after thier names than some have in them that would strongly disagree.
